As a newcomer to the Yid army, everyone here has made me feel welcome. I know that sometimes our Yankee way (and i am speaking as someone south of the MD line) has a way of grating on your nerves, but the response's to our sometimes (and I hope you don't mind, but I am including u Hauler) naive questions have been for the most part been enlightning and informative, without being too condescending.

I don't know what I am going to do without out the EPL this summer. I have the West Ham game dvr'd and i can watch that...

I can't even put into words how exciting this has been...my wife thinks I have gone completely over the bend.

I have not watched an NFL game with anything but apathy, NHL games are somehere on an alternative channel, and I used to think the Stanley Cup was the best thing going, I gave up on baseball a long time ago, and college football and basketball seasons have come and gone without my even noticing.

Di-mi-tar Berbatov, Di-mi-tar Berbartov...I was shouting that out Monday night in my backyard along with all the fantastic fans at Charlton.

You'd be mistaken to think the summer is boring. The myriad of speculation will get you through the end of May and June. Look at how busy our summer speculation thread is already, and it's not even the silly season. Plus we have WHL redevelopment, the speculation about new owner, the argument about whether Jol is good enough to make us top 4, etc, etc, etc. Then they start back in July. Sometimes I find September 1st to be a relief so I don't have to check the rumor pages 200 times a day :)

There's always MLS. It was a smart move making their season during the summer, since it gives us something to watch while the Prem. is on break.

Maybe next year I can make a spurs va showing somewhere haah.

I say we start getting together from time to time to watch Spurs somewhere! Seems there's a bunch of us from the area and it might be a good time. I like watching from the comfort of my own home with a cup of coffee on a cold Saturday morning, but I'd be up for a few get togethers.

Of course, being in VA, Summers would be the ideal place ;)

Speaking of summer... what are Tottenham's tour plans, if any? Are we going to try and defend the prestigious Peace Cup? Are they waiting to make sure that we don't have to go through the Intertoto to announce the preseason plans?

I take back my previous post. It looks like we are in for the Peace Cup along with Reading.
