Another tough game coming right up, if we win we'll be in europe for sure next season.

Could be a tough game, but with Blackburn set to be the top placed club who have applied for the Intertoto outside of the top 7 (Reading and Portsmouth haven't applied) they might not want to mess that up.

This game is on Sky Sports btw, thursday at 7:30pm the programme starts. Lets hope they have another stunning Spurs guest on after Tim Sherwood's incoherant ramblings last night.

Ever wondered why he always wore a long sleeved shirt?

not confident about this one, (although I'm very confident of 3 points vs. city). Blackburn can rough up our midfield, and they actually have some players who can score. We should win, but when has that ever mattered. :o

And for anyone who cares and didn't know, it's on Setanta here in the US.

This game scares me. It'll definitely be physical, and this is the worst type of game to have in a short week, our final game is going to be a struggle of tired legs and bruised ankles. Blackburn have the ability to play the ball and score with attacking soccer, and also the ability to score from set pieces--our Achilles heel. I wouldn't at all be surprised to get a 1-0 lead, hold it for a while, then Blackburn ties it up late and we have to turn back to attacking after we've gone cold, then score to take a 2-1 lead again, only for a late set piece score from Blackburn to steal 2 points from us.

But what the heck, I'm predicting a 2-1 win for Spurs ... let's hope I'm right.

(Arsenal tattoo on his upper arm - truth)He was an Arsenal fan as a kid I think.

as for the game, I would love us to win it so we don't have to go into the last game of the season trying to get europe (a bit like last year :()

Blackburn will make us work for everything, and with games comming up every couple of days we could struggle.

Blackburn are on a good roll like us so It'll be tough and McCarthy and Roberts are on form for them.

He's always been an Arsenal fan. He has lied several times about it, saying he's a Spurs fan and a Watford fan. He's a gooner. He might even be in the Sky Studio today Spurs/Blackburn 'expert', he's a gimp without the need for a mask.

Spurs will win because we need it more than Blackburn.

No doubt he's a gimp alright.

Do you think Blackburn will still have hopes of top 7 place? cuz if they did win they're next 2 games they'd be on 56 points which might get them there (although they are in the minus figures for goal difference)

the good thing is though our 2 last games are at home, which is a great boost for us.

One game focus.

Do whatever it takes to get ahead and finish off this game. If we win today, we're guaranteed an UEFA Cup spot. We've done the most important part beating/relegating Charlton, that puts us 3 points from 6th, and probably 3 points from 5th. If we win today, the last game may not even matter.

But, if we lose today, then we'll have another must-win game, and the final one will be the 3rd game in 6 days and coming off of a very physically exhausting and bruising Blackburn game ... not the situation you want for a must-win game.

Moral of the story, WIN TODAY!

Is that Setanta PPV or Setanta the regular satellite channel?

Here's the table. Top 7 are European places. 8th is currently Reading, 9th is Portsmouth - neither of whom have applied for the Intertoto.

Portsmouth are home to Arsenal on sunday.
Bolton are home to Villa. Villa can still catch Blackburn.
Everton are away to Chelsea.
Blackburn then play Reading at home.

Reading don't want to play in Europe next season, Coppell has said as much a couple of times. So I would expect Blackburn to win that and cement their place in the Intertoto, then it doesn't matter what Villa do.

I think they are content to go through the Intertoto, given the fixtures (away to Spurs then home to Reading who are already on holiday) they would take the win on sunday and not worry too much about tonight. I would guess. We'll see though, lots of speculating about motivation which could easily be wrong.

Both teams pretty much sparring through the first 20. No real assaults on goal.

All Spurs at the moment, we're just lacking that final pass.

Berba made Tugay look absolutely foolish.

Just a tad! Classic sucker punch though...you guys just can't seem to keep a clean sheet. Keep this pressure up and you will be level by the break.
