I was wondering what you think about the following idea.
There is a team in Holland in the second division named Zwolle that has gotten 2 Brazilians, Wilson and Botteghin, who have decently well. Especially Botteghin can play at a higher level then Zwolle. Henk van Ginkel, an Dutch agent looked for them in Brasil and they can play for Zwolle because they have an European pasport and are cheap that way.
Dutch teams in the second division and in the bottom of the first division are interested in South Americans who have dual nationality who are willing to play abroad.
My idea is right now to find those players, and there are plenty in Argentina, who have dual nationality and bring them over to Holland.
Right now I just need to find out if they qualify. Any idea how I can find this kind of information?
I would also like to know what you think of this idea and if there are any players who are willing to come over(on a trail) and play for a second division team. They probally have to play in the second division or in smaller first division teams or in the youth teams.
If they play in the second division they can probally make around 20 to 60.000 euro a year, with housing paid by the club. If they perform on a decently level they can probally move to a bigger team and earn more. itīs a good stepping-stone for an European career.
The best way is probally for a team to get 2 players from the same country because it makes them less likely to be home-sick.
