Someone on the Milan Board asked me who is that on my avatar.

That my fine friend is Bill Liddell a Scott who played his whole career with Liverpool from approx 1940 to 1960. My childhood hero.
He was a 20 to 30 goals a year scorer in times when we only played 40 matches.
My sig used to be "If you weren't on the Kop at kick off, you missed the first goal!" and it was always by Billy.
Lightning fast, TNT in either boot. Started playing either wing and ended as center striker.

He was also one of the two guys who were selected for both of the "Great Britain vs The Rest of Europe matches." 1947 and 1955. Britain won the first 6-1 in Hampdon Park but 7 years later in a pre-English season match the Rest of won 4-1 in Belfast. (An Irish plot!)

How about your avatars...???

Mine is a photo shop of a banner made for the Kop after Istanbul. It's a Liver bird on the warpath so it fits me!

My makeshift avatar is a picture of German player Sebastian Deisler, a player with brilliant potential a couple of years ago, was said to be the next great german player but was unluckily plagued by injuries. He missed the 02 WC, 2004 Euro Cup and last years WC.

He had to retire this year from those injuries at the age of 27. Very tragic stuff.

 There is no story to mine, purely a random image plucked from the net. Thinking about changing it now.

Gary McAllister...

...nothing new for awhile. My old comp had all the pics and I haven't figured out how to photoshop the dimensions on a Mac, yet.

Emlyn Hughes, just switched from the club crest, thought I would go with something else, something different.

If I would have been alive during the time that he played, he would have been my favorite player.

A good, competitive player. 474 Appearances for Liverpool, 35 goals. But his goals weren't what made him a great. I guess, I don't know a whole lot about him besides what I have read and what I have seen on the internet and DVDs.

I've gone for Peter Beardsley as I loved the way he played the game.

So it's not a self portrait? :)

I googled in "quentinc" You have been a busy boy! Are you thinking of moving to France?

Tarentino or D'Souza? :)

Heh. Apparently it's a popular name in France. I wonder if they derived it from the same source (rep to anyone who knows who Quentin C. is referring to. It's not my name).

And I wish I could grow a beard like that.

There's a few out there"
The WWII fighter pilot.
Field-Boden's Plain Film Gallery.
Then the guy who won the Mineralogical Society of America Award and the James B. Macelwane Medal.

The prolific little buggers are all over the place.
