Yes, it is on, and we're ignoring you. While I like Almunia, Lehmann is our number 1, we don't have anyone in the wings, and he's one of the few passionate players we have this season.

On a serious note thank god he made those couple of saves today especially the one against Ferriera? or else we would be looking at a defeat.

Sack Wenger! Bring back Pascal Cygan as player manager (and make Stepanovs assistant player manager) and we will win the world cup next year.

i dunno why everyone is saying lets get rid of Lehmann...i must admit myself he hasn't been playing up to par recently, but what about last season. He made cruicial penalty save, against real madrid (raul), and whole bunch of others. Lehmann is getting old, but he still got a few years in him

Detlef I do have to question your loyalty to Arsenal when you seriously want Kaba Diawara as the lone striker.
No real fan would of over looked Chris Kiwomya. :p :D

what worries me about Lehmann is the lack of understanding between him and the back four, crucial for any goalie/defender relationship... the fact that
this year he also seemed to get beaten with the opposing team's only shot on goal (often from a long way out) is troubling. I for one would nt mind someone else coming in this summer (Craig Gordon??), if for no other reason than to keep him on his toes. Remember when we kept Seaman on for one season too long, I fear this will repeat itself with Jens...

Lehmann has been a liability this season.
If Wenger insists on keeping him as number one then I can only hope that the upcoming European Championships focus him in the way the World Cup did. If he was replaced I'd have absolutely no problem with that.

Rubbish. I'd have given Mad Jens two years, myself. He was terrific yesterday and without his fire we're nearly lifeless. We've got to have that for the boys to grow into competitors.

I have no idea what games you've been watching. He gifted a goal to Fulham last week. He was majorly at fault for West Ham's goal at home too. They're just two examples off the top of my head. His kicking is going downhill (which we also saw when Seaman was kept on too long). One good reflex save doesn't cover up the fact that he's getting old and even more erratic and his game is only going to get worse.

To my mind, that's two of the three or four mistakes he's made that cost us. And even that Fulham goal was a bit unfortunate. Great touch on it (Davies, the goalscorer? I forget).
And if you say Seaman was kept on too long, argue on...that last season with us turned out just awful, didn't it?

Unfortunate my arse. He had no business being out there, there were plenty of defenders around. Fulham hadn't looked remotely like scoring until he did that. There's a catalogue of errors going back through all the time he's been here, goals gifted to teams all over Europe was his speciality when he first turned up. And that's not even to mention the childish crap he goes on with when an opposition player wants to stand anywhere near him at a corner.
Seaman was great for us over the years, but he was definitely kept on a season or two too long.

I see your Ian Selley and raise you an Eddie McGoldrick!
Vince Bartram, Glenn Helder, Paul Shaw, Gavin McGowan & Adrian Clarke
Have That!!! :D what a force we were.
Anyway, back to Jens. He's signed a new contract, so there is no point talking about getting rid. He is clearly part of Wenger's plans. And, to be fair, although he is a tad eccentric, he can make some quality stops from time to time.
Oh, and Oleg Luzhny < member him!!!! What a legend!!

We could see him benched too , if we get a new keeper .. But what about Alumnia ? Will he remain as a 3rd choice GK ?

Oh you bastard. Vince Bartram. He was in goal for my first ever Arsenal game (West ham 94) He was so crap it was unbeleivable. But I raise your Vince Bartram with an Alan Miller!
Get rid of Jens Lehmann and bring back Alan Miller.
I liked Glenn Helder.
