Mods feel free to move/merge this thread if necessary.

According to Goff DC is looking at another Fulham youth academy player. His name is Edwin Twesigomwe, lets see what we can find out about this guy. If hes anything like Casal sign him up.

A defender? But DC doesn't need any defenders! Our FO told us so!

Seriously, I hope it works out for us. A look around the league shows that most teams have at least one young defender starting on the backline. Some even have two. All I ask is that he at least challenges for a position.

And I'd still rather bring in former Fulham player Eddie Lewis.

Yes and no.

I found a video of him here...

http://www.forumeter.com/video/9458/Edwin-Twesigomwe

Unfortunately its no longer available.

Also I found a thread in bigsoccer which mentions his name

Perhaps the poster, strangely named casal52, can provide us some more insight about him.

Interesting news.

Not so much if you're Jamil Walker, though.

Addlery was the death knell of Walker, and Kpene made it even worse by actually doing well in his small stints. Walker's basically been on the outs for a while now.

Maybe he could be decent trade bait to a team that needs a forward (like Chicago or Columbus)?

I'm interested in this guy, but how exactly is THAT last name pronunciated...?

You're right, but now to add a player means moving someone off of the roster. And that person is likely Jamil.

Which is why he's trade bait and has been for some time. I don't think this new trialist would have made any difference in regards to that.

In other words, he'd be gone pretty soon no matter what. There's no reason to keep a forward on your roster who has moved down the depth list drastically in just under two weeks.

Besides, it wouldn't be the first time DC carried less than a full senior roster.

not sure, how much value Walker would bring. It's obvious to other teams that Walker hasn't been an option for DCU.

not sure about the question on how to pronounce was for Kpene or the new guy.

Kpene is pronouned - Ka-penny.

New guy - no clue... let's see if he sticks!

I could see getting a late draft pick for him, assuming we find a dumb enough GM.

you do realize that Ellinger is no longer the RSL coach. Whoa, but he is the Tech Director, hmmmmm.....

If he sticks, there is going to have to be a second exception to the no first name on the back of the jersey rule, his last name won't fit.

Hmm, Fred and Ed.....:)

I think Walker has some value, if only because he is a known quantity (solid backup MLS forward) and his salary is relatively low (around 30k) so he won't be much of a cap hit for teams needing some offensive help. A team like Columbus or Toronto needs all the help they can get scoring goals. Heck, even K.C. or Houston while they have good starters don't have much depth at the forward position.

Since Chivas USA traded their DP slot for Nagamura, I'd start with them. Maybe we can get Bornstein. :)

I suck at the whole allocation thing. I really just don't understand it. Any chance there is some allocation money in it for Walker?

ALSO, is this new trialist A Brit?

One more thing. Just read on the Goff blog that a decision will be made on Twesigomwe on Friday.
