thank god we didnt sign them... we dont really have 5.5 million for a fine...
but when you think of the way they are both performing now for their respective clubs, we surley could have used them both!
kinda funny though how one is fighting for survival in the EPL and the other is a champs league finalist

Just curious to hear fron ManU fans as to their knowledge of Nani (player from Sporting) and if you guys are excited about the possibility of obtaining him ( a player to replace giggs and similar in style to Ronaldo)

Personally I know all too little of him. But from what I've seen he looks talented but quite thin. Also the price quoted at £17.5m is silly. That's the price of a World Class player. Nani atm is a World Class prospect...

Everyone here needs to forget about Barbatov. We are not going to get him.
1. He would cost too much.
2. he likes Spurs about wont want to leave
3. Spurs just signed him therfor will not want to sell him
4. He already had an apportunity to be with us stright out of Germany but he choose Spurs.
5. Spurs wouldnt sell him because they are trying to build as a team and they just sold us carrick.
if there is someone we have a chance of getting from them is Dafoe, but I dont think we are linked with him.
Eto will come!
hopefully:rolleyes:
It's not about us making a case for him to come here, clearly none of us have any power over Ferguson and hsi transfer budget. The point about all this debate is to make a claim that said player would fit in, or player A would be a better choice than player B. That said, I think there's a much higher chance that we will end up getting Torres and Berbatov.
Dark Savante, it's clear that we just disagree on Berbatov, you have one idea of him as a player and I have another, there's no point going back and forth. We'll just end up disagreeing.

I'm not saying we should get him, but couldn't Tevez play the role we want Rossi to play next year?

This is a cut and paste from Tribal Football, which having read some of the other posters comments may or may not be the best site for information, but I thought I'd share it nonetheless...
France striker Louis Saha has revealed he has no intention of quitting Premiership champions Manchester United in the summer.
Saha, whose season has been hampered by a thigh injury, made the claim after United were linked with Barcelona forward Samuel Eto'o.
The 28-year-old insisted he had no intention of leaving the club this summer when he told L'Equipe: "I want to stay."
Asked about the Eto'o rumours, Saha said: "I know nothing. I love this club and I don't want to leave.
"If they are saying other good strikers are coming to United I find that good, if that helps us defend our title and win others next year."

Of course he loves United. He only has to play half a season each year, yet still gets a trophy here and there. How could you top that deal?

I feel bad for Louis. We'll never know what would have happened had he stayed healthy. I tend to think he'd never have been a true great, but he could have consistently scored 15-20 goals. And I don't blame him for not playing hurt - I think he's just too scared, at this point, of having some career-ending injury. It's infected his psyche.
Bon voyage, Louis - good luck wherever you go. I'm sorry that it won't be here that you'll finally fulfill all that potential.

Lets not forget, Liverpool play beautiful attacking football, so he should fit right into our style.
