So why did Fat Ronaldo get sold for like 8 million, while Real and Barca offered something like 30 mil for Cristiano Ronaldo?

One is close to retiring and the other is still years away from his prime.

One is not close to retiring, one is simply not good enough anymore. The other is presently better, more valuable, more useful, and therefore worth more.
This thread is flawed because Ronaldo only had one good season, the previous two were rubbish, and comparing it to a legend, one of the best in the game. It is very flattering to Cristiano Ronaldo, the topic creator must be a fan. But if I were a United supporter I'd probably choose Ronaldo because he was so important to their title winning campaign, no matter how good your strikers are, if there's nobody to create then it's useless.

Not true, they were good seasons, just not amazing seasons.

There are some pretty strange responses here. I think i need to clear up the fact that I'm a fan of the Brazilian Ronaldo. I don't know, this thread is just confusing now and I think we've cleared up the fact that most people prefer the Brazlian Ronaldo.

Prefer is taking things out of context...cause I don't think a single person would rather have Ronaldo on their team if C. Ronaldo is the other option.
The difference is that most realize that Ronaldo was the better player in his prime.

Cristiano= 22
ronaldo= 30...he is lucky to STILL be playing and playing ok,being as though he had surgery on BOTH knees.....
you aren't the same when you have a knee surgery..not to mention he hasn't been in shape....
LMAO@ basing this on transfer fees though...
Ronaldo proved this season why ppl refers to him as o fenomeno...cause it seems people have forgotten....

No doubt about that, I'd take C. Ronaldo right now considering the fact that he's young and is the best option to bulid my team around. However, if there is one IMPORANT GAME, then i'd go with RONALDO no hesitation. (yes the current Milan player) he's a big time player out of shape or not.
In their prime = Ronaldo
Currently = C.Ronaldo
Overall career = Ronaldo by a landslide.

In his prime Ronaldo over what CR7 has done so far. But Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't reached his peak yet so we'll see what he brings.

Haha! Uh, Robbie Quaid here! Hmmm .... For me I like Cristiano's style of play. He can do anything Ronaldo can do & even more at a much faster pace, plus! He's a better team player! As for Brazil's Ronaldo you would think with all the money he's made he would have had his chompers' ... (Teeth!) fixxed ages ago! Haha! He also needs to lay off the midnight run's for fast food! Haha! Ronaldo has a good season or two left in him at best & then it's ...Bye bye! As for Cristiano ... The sky is the limit! He will only get better & provided he stays injury free & doesn't end up with the...David Cruise Beckham Diease! He will eclipse everything Brazil's Ronaldo has done! ... At least at the club level anyway! & he won't have to fork out any cash to get his teeth done in the process! Haha!:D
