Eber, I don't like Bolivar, but I think you might be right, considering you just acquired who in my opinion should go international, DIDI Torrico. He is beast, and is only 20, I thought for sure he would be transferred to a better league.

^^^Didi is fast, great technical skill, but IMO he is lacking teamwork, and still is a little rough. I hope bolivar can teach him how to be a good team player, and make a buck off of it while they are at it. :)

Whatever happened to..............el Gato Fernandez's little brother Genaro
Fernandez. If I remember correctly he was called up to a US U17 camp that played in Argentina a couple of years ago. I know he was with several youth teams throughout south america, but I have not heard anything since. Me acuerdo leer que queria seguir los pasos de su hermano mayor y lei que pintaba para ser un buenisimo arquero. Alguien sabe que paso con el Gato Jr.
edit: err......nevermind, found him. Apparently he's the freshmen goalkeeper for Jefferson College in Missouri USA. http://www.jeffco.edu/athletics/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=105&Itemid=112#Fernandez (http://www.jeffco.edu/athletics/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=105&Itemid=112#Fernandez) Looks like him and his teammates go to MLS Kansas City Wizards games. Well looks like he's out of the NT picture for us for now, good luck to him though.

Yea seriously. Good luck with trying to get a USA call up as keeper. USA is STACKED with good keepers for YEARS! He's better off trying to get a contract in MLS and playing for Bolivia.

Where has Sergio Salas been? anyone? I know he parted ways with DC united in 2000, and then he just re appeared this year i saw an article about him playing for Real Maryland, I remember that back in the day him and chino alegria showed Marco etchevery the ropes in DC night life, but then he disappeared and now he signed for USL div 2 team, i remember he had very good ball control and decent speed has anyone seen him play for real maryland recently?

You know whats funny, my buddy played for Real Maryland last season, 2 friends actually, and i was wondering if they were still there so i can bother them on Facebook to see when their games were lol, and see they arent there any more, but a familiar name that popped up was Sergio Salas! I remember that was the local kid back in the 90s who grew up here and was frmo cochabamba right?? I never remember how he played, but i assumed he must play decent to win a contract with DC back then.
Funny thing is under last club played for, it states he played for aurora of bolivia. WHen was this??
And on Chino Alegria, my boy is his cousin, last i saw of that guy was he was playing at the local fairfax sportsplex on like co-ed and rec leagues, big as shit cause my boy told me he drinks too much lol. Poor guy, got kicked off frmo DCU cause of showing up too fat.

Yeah i went to school at stuart with chino before he got kicked out and sent to pimit, a little side note when i was like 12-14 we played together on condores de bolivia a little club team in arlington rec. we use to kill teams because most of our players where hand picked. that is where chino meet bruce's son at a tournament we played in richomond from there chino played with burce arean's son on a very good select team called the diplomates and the rest is history.

Interesting.... cause i thought he lived in peru for a little bit, because i thought he came from alianza lima before he went to DC? I didnt know he lived around here.... his cousin my boy told me through family hook ups he went over there to try out (his name is willy diaz) and hes a sick player, i used to play with him, good ball control, imagination, thick, quick, strong, but told me he would get black balled cause he was 'american' and didnt get a contract over there.
I remember too seeing i think chino's older brother? He played pro for the warthogs back in the day? But he played in a intense game(league in fairfax sportsplex a couple years ago), and like kicked the shit out of one of my friends and started like a fight in the field lol

... Jhasmany Campos?
He also plays for Oriente, however he had an awful injury that left him out of ht field for a long time...I believe he's better now and its training with the rest of the team. Hopefully we'll see him with the NT in the near future.

abdon reyes and ignacio garcia are way better than jhasmany campos on the left back positon...jhasmany has a good shot but his actual defensive stature on the field is weak..he is constantly getting beat...hes young and everything but not all that good

your right but campos plays more towards the mid he never played left wing back. and i still think he is better than vaca but he hasn't really steped up for the nt after his goal against peru in 07.

you cant compare vaca and campos...theyre two totally differnent players...vaca even though with his size is a great midfielder...campos is good winger on the mid but the NT hasnt used those kind of players...they use reyes and gati for that.

Way better? i dont know about that. maybe a healthy abdon reyes is better than a Healthy Campos. Campos was and still is a prospect(at 20) but i heard he got injured.had no idea what bolivian team he was on or if he was even recovered. campos shoots better than abdon. but abdon es mas encarador. which you gotta love. I wouldnt mind if he got called up again.

my point is that you can't compare campos with a. reyes, and i garcia. they are both def wing backs, campos plays more of a enganche role and IMO, campos is more talented but, vaca has provided better results as of late. but he is not the answer.

yes thats right...campos is a shooter but thats all he is. even if he only is 20 suttin....reyes can make plays and shoot fairly well....so yea theres a difference...ignacio garcia is good when you want to defend...
also agaimst colombia during the WCQ luis gutierrez (a new face) was very impressive..he plays in israel too...

JAIMIE MORENO.
This dude practically tore apart the Toronto defense. He walked into the game in the last 20 minutes, and practically single handedly took over. Not too many Bolivian players out there can do that with a physical league full of speedy big players comming at ya with brute force.
This dude should come out of retirement.
We can forget him being a forward, but he can still be used on the wings or even as an attacking midfielder. This dude fights for balls more now then when he was in his twenties. To me, he's a better player now then when he was younger since he's much more of a fighter.
His style of play would be very effective in Lapaz. When we face Brazil, we need our top players on the field. His speed is good, but his fakes and touch is still first class. He is definitely one of the top players from Bolivia right now.
