This one is in Italian, but if I read it correctly (my Italian is very bad) it says that Ronaldo talked to the pilot and the stewardess on the plane and he was already talking about the transfer to Real Madrid. How's that for second hand news!

2002. Ronaldo's spokesman Rodrigo Paiva says his client has no plans to ask Inter to sell him.

Earlier speculation had suggested that the Brazilian was highly likely to put in a transfer request but, Paiva said: "Ronnie is not here to ask to be sold, but only to solve some problems. We'll see, we have to talk with Moratti."

Can this Ronaldo situation been handled any more poorly? Shouldn't he have gone privately to Moratti if he truly wanted to leave? Why use his agents and other reps to expose this to the media first? Why wait until early August to do this, with the team already preparing for Champions League and the Serie A season?

I'm very dissapointed that it has come to this. IMHO, Ronaldo is backing down from the challenge that is winning the scudetto. He rose up to the challenge of the knee problems. He overcame the terrible final versus France in 98. And now he could seal his place in history by leading Inter back to the scudetto. I guess that was too much to ask after 2.5 years of patience from Inter. How many times did we let him jet off to Rio or some other location to rest or play in some meaningless friendly for the national team.

I'm disgusted. I hope we beat Real in the final of the CL.

If that's true I'll never like Ronaldo again. He was my favorite player. But I love INter more. THat was the most stupid thing anyone could ever do. I've waited so long for him to come back. Now he is back and he goes to the spoiled damned madrid
