Arsène Wenger has been fined £2,500 and "severely censured" by the Football Association for accusing an assistant referee of lying at the Carling Cup final.
Wenger had denied a charge of improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute for the remarks he made after his side's bad-tempered defeat to Chelsea on February 23. But an FA disciplinary commission today found against him, highlighting his use of the word "lie" when describing the assistant's intervention in the the sending-off of Emmanuel Adebayor.

Would Dein have made a difference to this if he was still with the club?
