I know that Jeremy is no M. Diarra, but I really like this player. I can't wait to see where he ends up five years from now. I'd like to believe that he'd still be at Lyon, but judging the interest the world has on Lyon's midfield market, I doubt it.
According to Jeremy Berthod, Toulalan is Lyon's worst dressed player. Why is that so easy to believe?

I came across this interesting interview (http://www.lyonmag.com/spip.php?article9828) of Toulalan. I didn't understand all of it (and google translation didn't help either). But what I did glean from it is that he understands he has a lot of work to do to improve his play, and he has a clear understanding of his weaknesses.
He also started out as a second attacker at Nantes.

his two main weaknesses he says are his top speed and his long passes. the first he obviously can't do anything about but he very clearly is working on the secong, and to good effect. he's no enzo scifo yet, but his improvement in this area has been noticeable.

Toulalan had a splendid game against Ukraine yesterday. I was really impressed.

what a bulldog... no, more like a terrier. he just never stops.
this friday i'm in a tournament and we have two ladies on the team. they're no footballers, but pretty athletic, 1/2 marathon types. we have to have them play like that!

Toulalan is just amazing. That's all I have to say.
He's everywhere at once, at left back, midfield, up playing support for the strikers...
And his passing has improved by A LOT. He made a beautiful 45 yard pass to Govou yesteday that eventually led to Benzema's goal.

great news! jeremy toulalan's knee knack was supposed to keep him out 4 weeks, and with a little pessimism you could have imagined him for the season, only be good for the cup final...
but he ran at practice yesterday and is apparently on track to play against nice. that means 3 more league matches, and those 9 points, enough to bring old n°7 home, will be a lot easier to get with jeremy on the pitch!
Lyon : Toulalan a repris la course
21 avr.

That's nice to hear, though I hope Toulalan won't be rushed back into action. I'd rather him miss an extra match as a precaution than risk having him injure himself again. Unless things go drastically wrong, we will need him for that Cup final, and then there is Euro 2008 also.
