Factor in global appeal, quality and age. :)
Like I said i think Cronaldo, Messi, Kaka, with ROnnie can all make a strong case for being the number 1 with all those factors.
I just think kaka and Ronnie happen to be the two best players on this list, and Ronnie certainly destroys the rest with his global appeal marketing ability.
Messi is by far the youngest and not far off from playing in the same mention as the others.
Cronaldo seems to be int he middle for everything(age, appeal, quality), and after his first great season, well I wouldnt be so quick to put him on top.

Messi number one on global appeal? Few even know him. Kaka and Ronaldo are about even. Ronaldinho far out in front.

Ronaldinho is much older than most.

Not far off, maybe. But he isn't.

Real Madrid would and I think that is what matters.

1.Ronaldinho is still in his prime, not past it. If you're going to base it on the silly argument that Cronaldo will naturally improve past kaka and Ronnie because he is younger, than look to Messi. Or look at the ages of the attacking players with the recors transfer fees.
Zidane-29
Figo-28
Crespo-25
Vieiri-26
Mendieta-27
Ronaldo-26
costa-28
nedved-28
Most of them who fetched the highest fees were in the prime years category(more closer to Ronaldinho's age than anyone else's).
2.Few know Messi? That's a silly argument he played at the World Cup, plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and scored what is beging called one of the best goals in a long long time. My friends who are only casual fans in America, know who all 4 players are ann talk with much more enthusiasm towards Messi than Cronaldo, as he is the easy choice for most hated player over here. Global appeal.....
3.Real Madrid were linked last summer with wanting Robben, Kaka, and Fabregas, who cares? They know they cannot have Ronaldinho, couldnt get those players, and have moved on to looking at Cronaldo? Which of course is all just hear-say. And makes for crap arguments.
Again the only solid evidence that leads you to putting Cronaldo number 1 is your club affiliation.

I really can't be arsed with replying to this pointless argument any longer.
You've just attacked me for putting Ronaldo first in this list whilst being a United fan whilst a Liverpool fan has put ridiculously put Carragher first and not so ridiculously Gerrard second. You obviously have your priorities sorted.
All of the players that I mentioned are young (minus Gerrard and Ronaldinho) and very talented. I didn't bother thinking much about the ordering as it was more about the players I was mentioning than that. You could shift them around and I wouldn't particularly care. I decided to defend my ordering two very short, quick replies. Replying in any more depth is absolutely pointless. There would be very little difference in price between any of these players.
The stupidest thing is that my top four contained exactly the same players as yours yet you still attack me. You're a very sad, little man.

Again, called out, out-argued, submit.....That seems to be your thing.
You say Cronaldo is ahead of kaka and Ronnie because of youth, but Messi is younger and behind, and a host of players younger are also behind, you contradict yourseld to no end, because you just cannot admit your whole agenda is clouded with bias.
The Carragher point was so ludicrous why bother, and someone already did.
I present factual evidence that attacking players usually go for the highest fees in and around their prime ages(already know what you are getting and at the height of marketability), better evidence than you have posted here, and what do you do? Don't even respond to it, why would you? It hurts your argument severely, and anytime you are being outwitted in these threads you do what you do best, tuck tail and run.
Maybe you will finally respond to the Chelsea regularly play 4 defenders and 3 DMids claim, probably not.

Yeah, I just posted those rebuttals in about a minute. I don't really care that much about the ordering of value of these amazing, young players who are all around the same area in value.
The Carragher point was so ludicrous why bother, and someone already did.
That person being me. Selective vision?

I don't have an argument. You have just created one out of nothing.

I already did in that thread. Selective vision once again?
Essien has the capability of playing as a DM, Makelele is a DM, Ballack has played as a sweeper and DM previously and quite often plays quite deep for Chelsea.
Maybe you'll make your own list? :)
EDIT: Oh gawd, I'm wasting my time being dragged into such a stupid argument again.

Ballack doesn't play as a DMid for Chelsea, debate over.

But he can be roughly classed as a DM. :)
Also, you didn't post your list. Nice work dragging the thread off topic.

No he cannot be.
He has played as a defensive midfielder and a sweeper quite extensively before. So yes he can be.

He's a Central Midfielder, end of. At Chelsea he plays an even further advanced role, his play can be nore more considered DM than Scholes or Lampard. Your argument as always is clutching at straws.

You don't seem to get this. He has played for a long time as a sweeper and a defensive midfielder. Therefore saying that Chelsea play with three defensive midfielders isn't too far fetched.
You still haven't posted your list.

Essien in the past played as a defender, Drogba started off as a RB, Chelsea dont play with 6 defenders, the majority of Ballack's career he was a CM, he played some in a deeper role(and wasnt very effective), none of this has anything to do with Chelsea's system and what Ballack does in that system.
Look you contradict yourself:
Also, thinking about it, Milan play a 4-5-1 (or did before they got Ronaldo, who wasn't in Milan when Chelsea first started playing this formation) and Chelsea play a 4-4-2. The only thing similar is that have any width. However, Seedorf and Kaka move around a lot more than Lampard and Ballack.
You compared Ballack and Lampard's role to Kaka and Seedorf, not Gattuso or Pirlo(not a DMid either).

Ambrosini would be his substitute in that system. Knowledgeable.
Essien plays as a defender now as well. :)
Calling Ballack a DM isn't far fetched at all seeing as he has played for several years in very defensive roles.
Still no list.

1.Sure, thats why you made that initial point, right you didnt. You've just taken your biased debate so far you compared Ballack to two attacking mids in a similar formation, and then called him a DMid.
2.He does in emergency, guess what no one calls hima defender, they call him a midfielder.
3.What are you going on about a list, if it is the one on topic, Ive already posted one.

You don't seem to understand that absolutely everyone is biased on these forums. You're going to reply with "you're more biased than most". Take a look around. The Milan formation isn't similar to Chelsea's at all. Also, you can't seem to keep topics seperate.

You posted four names who were exactly the same as the ones I posted that you complained about. I want to see how dramatically wrong I am.

Since those you were debating with 'suddenly' disappeared from the discussion, it is safe to assume that you win. You were also correct.
