I know everyone's already got their minds three weeks in advance, but I'd still like to stay third and above the Arse.

Kewell to get some game time off the bench in the second half.

Give Carra, Gerrard, Crouch & Masch a rest.

I dont think it will be a good idea to rest these players......i mean they realy need to get games to be top notch at the final, and resting them wouldnt be a good idea.....thell have plenty of time to rest before the big final, so i realy want us to secure the 3rd spot now, even if it doesnt realy matter cause well still qualify automaticaly to the groups stage... .....a mix of youngsters and senior players would do, maybe see players like anderson and lindfield.

No, I think players need a rest and I like el-capitano's lineup. Some of the players played the entire game and deserve a rest. They can get some game time in the Charlton game. I think all players should get some game time because who knows what Rafa is going to throw out in the final.

You are right, they have ten days after the final game in the prem (charlton) to rest. But they just played a tough game. We are qualified for Europe, don't want to risk any injuries, like slight knocks or muscle pulls/tears that could keep someone like Mascherano out of the Final.

My prediction 2-0 to the good guys.

very good call this, and i really like the idea of kewell having some time, but is there any one else that we could try in the LB spot for this game?

IMO zenden is not up to the job of LM. JAR plays som much better up there and gives much better service to Crouch and others, if kewell is not going to be fit for final we need to find other options now.

any of the young guys able to step up to LB?

Question is, do we want to win this game or not? Fulham is battling relegation and every point counts for them so they'll be going all out and if we field an average squad we could drop some more points and we don't have third place sealed yet.

Personally, I don't care if we finish third or fourth but I don't want to end the domestic season with a series of shyte results.

Trouble is- our guys have just played a 120 minute game, with pens, I honestly don't know if their head's will be concentrating on this one-

Thats why I went half first team- half squad players - so the squad guys can get a run out -to keep match fit themselves. (just incase- knock on wood- there are any injuries- don't want to throw anyone in the deep end)

I see no reason why Emiliano Insua shouldn't get a game like this. Hell, put Paul Anderson, Paletta, and El-Zhar out there as well. Jack Hobbs @ CB anyone? ;)

I don't think we should take the rest of the EPL off, but I do think now's the perfect time to blood some youngsters and rest our big guns a bit. I want them sharp, but I don't want any knocks, strains, or fatigue.

Let them work off the hangover that surely resulted from the celebration this week. :D

Almost certain Kewell will have some time this game. Can't wait to see what form he's in, it'd really be great if he can pull something special of and get his confidence back straight away, unlike the last time he came back from injury. Took him a little too long to get his confidence back.

Also I agree... Give Gerrard, Kuyt, Mesch, Zenden and Carragher a break.

I'll go with el's line up. Can't wait to see Kewell in action again. Definately like to see some youngsters have a run too.

What about Padelli starting?

I like the idea of Padelli starting, but more for selfish reasons. I just want to see what he kid has.

Ha! I think we can forgive that.

I like el-cap's teamsheet, too. No sense in taking any unnecessary injury risks ahead of May 23.

I would like us to use the same back 5 for the remaining games up until the final (depending on Finnens fitness) because non of them are perticuly injury prone, and I don't think Rafa will be giving anything important away tacticly by showing this part of his hand. As for the remaining 6 players I would rotate the hell out Gerrard, Pennent, Alonso, Masch as I think they will be our key players in the final, and we need to get the right balance of not getting injured but staying match fit.

I'm a little worried about our final games, with both of the teams in the religation battle, they will be desperate and will probably made some rash tackles. I would have prefered playing the likes of Newcastle or Reading. The lure of Europe isn't as strong as the fear of religation.

I don't get Setanta yet so I'm relying on you guys for comms in the morning. At least it's on a 7 and not 4:30 here on the left side.

interesting line up.

pepe

arbaloa paletta sami insua

penn xabi sissoko marky-mark

bellamy fowler

Good enough to win! except palletta at the back seems to bring in a wild card of, how shall we say, extreme crappyness, that can muck things up. Although i must say, rafa is determined to blood this kid so there must be something there. hidden. very very hidden.

And....Sir Hairy is on the bench. Hes so gonna limp off in the final.
