He of course has always been a Liverpool "player" since his transfer.... but with that terrific finish, and the utter joy he had on his face after it went in......
Well, he became a "RED" at that moment. Its' kind of hard to explain, everywhere else besides these boards of course.
I must have watched that goal a dozen times already, and the look on Agger's face gets me fired up every freaking time. It's like he KNEW he just made history, and that people in Liverpool will know his name for generations. He knew what a special finish it was... well beyond most center backs indeed. And it was such a collossal goal. Bigger than a BIG goal. Add the atmosphere, which was of course incredible as it always is for the big games at Anfield.
I think Agger wanted every Scouser in Anfield on the pitch with him!!
Great goal, great result... and we have a new "RED", through and through, in Daniel Agger!!
What a fantastic reason to skip out on work three hours early yesterday.

Potential future skipper? I think so.
I knew there was something special about this guy ever since he hit that screamer against West Ham. He looks so confident running up the pitch and dribbling past players especially since he's so young.

Agger's transformation into a full-blown red and fan favorite
1) Pulls on jersey
2) Rocks the hammers with wonder strike
3) Plays solid
4) Calls Drogba a cry baby in the first leg, he is bold and doesn't take crap from anyone. He is learning from one of the best center backs though.
5) Scores goal in second leg, and went to celebrate with the team.
He needs a song, does he already have one?

He was relentless on Drogba, constantly making the diving gestures and motioning wiping tears from his eyes. Against one of the most physically imposing, deadliest strikers in the world. At age 22. And he's got badass tats.
Hence the nickname Swagger.
I think it was Twentysix who first made the bold prediction that he would be one of the best defenders in Europe in a couple years. I tentatively agreed at the time but now I don't think there's any doubt.
What a left boot this kid's got.

I can get behind this.
He has quite the cultured left foot.

Hey, if you're handing out credit, I will take it! :)
I think that he needs to fill out a bit physically, still. But, he looks international quality in all areas [except, perhaps, for heading].

I don’t understand the nature of this post or what you are trying to say. Daniel Agger is clearly delighted with the strike and the goal, who wouldn’t be? It was a top class finish and it was the goal which changed the complexion of the match. Will he be remembered in generations to come with that strike? If that’s all he achieves at Liverpool (he’ll achieve more) than no, he won’t be remembered by generations to come. Howard Gayle, Liverpool’s first black football player put in an immense performance against Bayern Munich in 1981 and how many people can say they remember him? Most of my generation (I’m eighteen) have never heard of Howard Gayle before.
Dan Agger if he can continue to improve and can continue to show the level of constituency he has done for most of the season, will no doubt become one of our finest central defenders, he’ll be up there with Mark Lawrenson, Hansen, Yeats and of course players from recent times, Carragher
I have been highly impressed with Agger this season, I didn’t expect him to show maturity of a player who has been plying his trade for years or the composure he shows on the ball and not forgetting his cracking left foot.
