The above link explains exactly what placing in each country qualifies where. So, if they can hold on to second place, Rangers will play in the second qualifying round, Dunfermline will play in the first round of the UEFA Cup (irregardless of how they do in the Scottish Cup since the runner-up would qualify in the winner has already qualified for Europe, which obviously Celtic has done) and the third-place team (probably Aberdeen, maybe Hearts) will play in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Cup.

Actually, now that I think about it, Gretna played in the qualifying round last year (Scottish Cup runners-up) and third-place Rangers automatically qualified for the first round, so maybe if the runner-up qualifies, those two switch spots. And, last year, somehow the result of the Champions League final automatically moved Celtic into the group stages. If anybody knows further details on these two situations, please respond.

Here are the up-to-date SPL standings (three games left for everybody):

1. Celtic - 81 points
2. Rangers - 69 points
3. Aberdeen - 61 points
4. Hearts - 57 points
