we did the double over the league champions.
Yes, I meant to say one more thing to hang our hat on. Also 3-0-1 record vs Liverpool in all competitions. The future is bright!

glad to see smashley cole didnt get injured today.....
sucks we have to go into this w/out our first team strikers again.
On the bright side, our center backs are healthy so Senderos won't play.

04/05 Everton 7-0
05/06 M'Boro 7-0
06/07 Chelsea 7-0?
But really, they just essentially got kicked out of two competitions in a span of 4 days. Wouldn't it be grand to top that week off with a lose against their most hated London rivals. When Chelsea equalized i wasn't too disappointed, off course we were still in the running for 3 trophies, and a draw at Stamford Bridge was not too bad. But what really got me was Cashley's reaction, it was as if he scored the goal against us in a final. It makes me want to punch the screen every time i see him with his fist pumps.
I will go for a 2-0 with a Cesc early goal, and a penalty from Gilberto.

All right, here's my first tactical thought: Arsenal must play aggressive as if truly searching for 3-4 goals. If Chelsea doesn't play all out for the win they'll at least play a conservative game to avoid the loss, as if to send a message about standing in the English pecking order. I can't see Jose resting anyone or experimenting for the FA cup - they will play an earnest first 11 and press for the winning goal on a counter.
Rosicky and Hleb must push the ball forward and not leave Cesc seemingly alone in this role. And by this I mean in a productive fashion, reading the runs of the strikers and trying to penetrate into the penalty box, not just settle for crosses or long shots. Knowing this I'm afraid to think of the likely striker combination.
I agree that Arsenal will likely need 2 to get the win. It'd be great to get one early and force Chelski into a) resigning, for all to see, or b) taking greater risks and giving our strikers more space in the deep third. Adebayor's value against Chelski increases ten-fold if allowed space and given a proper foil.

This will be a big game for both the clubs and defensively Chelsea are pretty good .. Our strikers, Adebayor and Baptista ?! have to be really really good .. We need them to take every chance possible ..
Maybe Wenger will go with a 4-5-1 formation .. With Diaby, Rosicky, Cesc, Hleb and Gilberto in the midfield, and Adebayor upfront, we can control the game pretty well .. We should NOT concede stupid freekicks near our goal ..
Clichy and Eboue will be working hard putting in soem crosses i guess ..
Gallas to skin Drogba alive .. :D

With manu playing saturday, lets hope they get the 3 points, and don't give Chelsea a way back in. Then their heads will really be down!

We're great against the big sides!! But the future will only be bright if we can start beating the likes of West Ham & Middlesbrough again!!!!

Hey folks....Just wanna make it clear that the "missing bottle" joke that I made earlier, was made with regard to the style of play by Chelsea last night.[English slang... Bottle = Nerve]
It was posted long before the news of the Helicopter Crash and the search for survivors and could easily be misconstrued.
If I could delete it....I would :(

Arsenal 1 (A. Cole og) Chelsea 0. typical Chelsea, playing long ball and thinking that nicking 1 goal will do after Citeh stun ManU on Saturday (even without Joey Barton).
Ca$hley boots the ball into his own net after a corner kick by The Arsenal. :)
On a related note, Arsenal have looked much better in their set pieces lately.

2-1 to us, just like the United match, we go down a goal and get late heroics, this time from ... Cesc.

Cole doesn't play, Bridge has a whale of a game, and we give up the late goal to draw 1-1.

You realise that ever since the League Cup Final Chelsea fans on this BS forum have been mocking Arsenal. Saying the Gunners are a team for the future and always will be. Saying Arsenal are a bunch of players who play pretty but are just a bunch of losers. Saying Arsenals season is over.
Perhaps their taunts will come back and bite them in the ass. Arsenal still have one game to play for this weekend. I am sure you'll give A Cole a warm welcome to the Emirates :D
I am not saying I want Man U to win the Prem but merely Arsenal will want to show that they are a still a force in England this season. I am sure that you will ;)

Hey it could happen!
