Livi's website say's Tweedy's off "in order to pursue other activities." so, is he retiring or finding himself another club?

He was looking for another club but there was also some talk about him being a player-manager for a lower league side, the name of which escapes me at the moment.

He has signed for East Fife, possiblry as a player-coach, not as a player manager.
What's your opinion on him Teso?

He has signed for East Fife
Has he? There's nothing on the club website, maybe they're still in negotiation?
No disrespect meant (I played against Gordon Durie at Methil many years ago and actually have a strange liking for East Fife) but it's a bit of a drop for Tweedy to make. Nevertheless, he'll be a good acquisition for anyone outside the SPL. Big, strong, decent on the ball, overseas experience ..... and free!

The website is never bang up to date.
I don't really think Livingston to East Fife is that much of a drop these days. (It is a drop, just not a drastic one). After last night's play-off semi-final 1st leg result, we've got a good chance of being in the 2nd division next season.
To be honest, it's a strange signing for us. I don't think we need a new first choice centre back and I can't imagine Tweed being signed to provide competition. Does he play in any other position?

He is strong, good in the air and experienced but slowing down because of his age. I think that is ultimately why he is dropping down a division. That are the chance to be involved in the coaching side of things. He was not a first choice pick when everybody was fit at Livi, as McPake and Mackay were the central pairing. It made sense for him to move on. He should still be able to do the business for you.

It seems pretty slow given that the latest news [today] is about the kids cup final?!
