On the ussocceruk rumor mill...

Note: This is not Chris Bergin "reporting". This is Bergin stating he's heard the rumor.

Oh man, if true Eggy's gonna lose it.

Actually though this could make sense after the "meeting" that McBride and his agent had with MLS brass this weekend to air his grievances. They might not want to sell him if they don't get the right price so possibly McBride says, let me go over on loan and work my price up. That way MLS gets their money and McBride leaves. And if he goes over and doesn't fully impress than MLS can say, hey, you had your oppurtunity, those are the breaks.

And whatever happened to the "We'll let Brian go on a free because he's done so much for MLS"?

I'm glad that Bergin is saying he doesn't know what is going on.

As opposed to letting Brian go for free, I say we dictate a Gazza-esque deal. This deal would result in a five way trade between us, DC United, West Brom, and two of the 3 richest kings in Europe. I haven't ironed out the details yet, but in the end it would result in the nation of Saudi Arabia folding, a meteor hitting Venus (thus sending it into the sun), and in McBride getting hurt.

But then again, Bergin hasn't said anything that has come to reality lately...

Bill,

From what Merz reported in the Dispatch on Sunday, the talks McHead had with the chimps in charge of MLS did not go well.

Are you sure Logan and Rothenberg are no longer involved in league affairs?

Didn't Jeff Agoos go to West Brom on loan a couple years ago?

This will be the thread for the billions of different rumors as to where McBride will go. Whether it's Everton, PNE, or the Riverhawks...let's put all speculation here.

Recent rumor is, West Brom. I wonder what Eggy is thinking about this one.

Toon-

OH NO!!!!! You have uttered the name of the One Who May Not Be Named!!!! The Dark Eminance!!!!!

A--n Ro------rg has a lot to say about MLS. It was his guy, Sunil Gulati, the groveling toadie to Ro------rg, who got fired by Logan under the mistaken impression that Logan ran the league.

Logan got a shiv in the ribs a few months later, Gulati got a cushy arranged job with the Krafts and is now the number two man at USSF, with Dr Bob Contiguglia looking over his shoulder.

Because after Ro------rg passed on the Presidency of USSF to Hank Steinbrecher, good old Hank made the fatal mistake of thinking that HE was in charge, just like Logan did.

So Hank got mugged in an alley, and they gave the job to Dr Bob, who isn't stupid enough to get out of bed before first checking to see if it's OK with A--n.

Now Ro------rg is being mentioned for the Presidency of FIFA, where he can use his exceptional blackmail skills to further rape FIFA's profitability.

For now, he is the VP of CONCACAF where, with the insane criminal Jack Warner of T&T they loyally support Sepp Blatter and funnel sweetheart deals to family members.

(For the uninitated, two tales:

Ro------rg served as Head of WC 94 for "no pay". None. Got great kudos for doing so.

At the end of the WC, the steering committee, which was appointed ENTIRELY BY HIMSELF, voted him a $7million "bonus"

It also granted his son a $250,000 "fee" for "consulting" on "t-shirt sales"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Sorry.

Ro------rg also submitted, to the same committee of friends and relatives, an expense account chock full of international first class travel, limo rentals and $1,000 a night hotel suites to the tune of ANOTHER $2 million!!!!

Want to guess if they paid it?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

I really need to get that fixed.)

Anyway Ro------rg, in return for his "consulting services" (for which, incidentally, he was already being paid as head of USSF), was given Class A shares in MLS. He's the only guy who is in this who never spent a dime.

Trust me; the Evil One IS in charge of MLS.

Are you sure it isn't Beasley playing for Ajax and McBride just turned into a skinny black kid?
