I hardly post in the equipment anymore. I'm lazy during the school year, and plus I'm not playing much football, so in turn not buying boots.

I almost turned to shirt collecting though :o . I want Barca, but a late 90s shirt.

I love this thread I'll be playin footy for a while for sure I'd love to get a chance to go big but still I really want to play the game I know nothing else then football. :o

I know, it's really difficult to not be playing. Aside from pick up games, I haven't had the chance to play much because I'm so caught up in college. I could play here too, but I'm not a huge fan of the guys on the team. I'm gonna get back in top fitness in the first month I'm home for summer and weight my options/see what teams around are looking for a player.

wow Dev, it's crazy that you have more posts than Bigg here in less than half the time.

I feel left out that I don't have the plus by my name like everyone else. guess I need to post more.

What the hell does the plus mean?

So basically I'm starting to get a little bit stressed. It's 8:30, and still haven't added anything to the paper.. I have ran out of content, and my college coach is not available at this moment to speak to (he's been giving me a lot of ideas)... hopefully he will be soon, but to end this post, I leave a simple (not so much) open ended question, and I'm welcoming input from anyone:

What do you think is the best method (one that will work the best) of youth soccer development in the USA and why?

:o

PS - Topics I've covered already are:
1) the fact that it needs to start young, and a long term development should be emphasized throughout the player's career
2) topdown vs bottom up methods (including talk about academies in europe, etc)

for the MLS clubs to have more in depth youth systems. It doesn't work overseas for no reason. that's really the best I can think of, but I guess you covered that.

I think soccer in America needs to be redeveloped from the MLS down. they should restructure it where the MLS has one table, not broken up into 2 divisions. And then have lower leagues with what is out there(USL, A-league) formatted where there is a promotion and relagation system.
