Yes, to UEFA we pay / transfer what they mention in the payment instructions (ticket prices + 20 euros taxes). The eventual extra charges are paid to our bank (in my case I pay around 3 euros of administrative charges for them to process my international bank transfer).

Hope I was of good help for you guys.

Take care, Miguel Vieira

No, it's OK, we've got to the bottom of it. No ticket buyer should pay any bank charges. That's what it clearly says on the payment letter, and the Euro 2008 website.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but are you still saying that people should pay the charges that their own bank charge? If so, why?

I can only share what I've experienced, and both in WC 2006 and now I pay UEFA what they mention in the paynment intructions, and have to pay extra +- 3 euros to my bank for costs they charge me concerning the processing of an international transfer. That experience maybe depends on the bank and country you are in, but with "SHARE" I believe that's the common procedure.

So yes, I pay extra small charge to my bank. Why? Because they ask me to.. :) (I don't work in a bank, so I'm not an expert on that matter, only can help you with my past experiences..)

OK, so are you saying you've got payment instructions now (ie Euro 2008) that don't say -
Charges: BEN
?

Yes, they say "Charges: SHARE" (as in WC 2006).

Aha, right! So far as I can see on this thread, you're the only one whose payment instructions have said SHARE instead of BEN.

That seems a bit...unfair?

Well, now that's interesting!

So it depends of the country? But the account number stays the same for you?

Anyway, I think I don't have to consider my previous question as a problem now. :)

That's what UEFA sent me.. I (still) don't have connections there :)

And I don't know if it depends on the country, you'll have to ask them through their customer service in the official website, I can't help you with that.

No problem. That was a retoric question. ;)

Can anyone give me an example of UEFA letter with payment instructions or just describe what is there, please?
I won a few tickets, but still haven't received a letter.
Thanks a lot in advance.

For WC the payment type was "OUR" - it means I paid for tickets and all the money transfer costs!!!

And now for EURO charges are "BEN". So, UEFA is a bit less unfair than FIFA?:D

Im in Mexico, I choose to pay by bank transfer because one of my friends lives in germany, I got 4 tickets and one of my friends got another 4 aswell, he lives in estonia, and received the payment details, I havent received anything, I just want to know:

1) will it be the same payment details for him (Estonia) and I ( Germany)
2) Can I send the money through the US, if the tickets will arrive to germany ? I know how to do that, I've done the same thing for the world cup

his details are here:

Can any one tell me, please, how to pay, what are instructions, do I use Reference number during payment, how do they know, that payment is comming for specific application?

From the last posts, the instructions depend a bit on the country, so they are not the same for everyone (ex: Charges: SHARE or BAN).

We should use Reference Number during payment:
Reason for Payment: x[Reference Number]z-Tickets UEFA EURO 2008(TM)
This way they know the payment referes to that specific Reference Number.

I'm such a spaz. :p

I've been on the Euro2008 site for half an hour trying to find out exactly where I can enter my reference number and find out what tickets I won.

Can someone give me a link to where I can enter my reference #.
Thanks,
