Tickets to swap:
I've got 4x Cat 2 tickets to Match 27, Quarter Finals in Basel on 6/21.
I'd like to get to 2 games at least, so I'm looking for 2 tickets to any of the following:
1) 2x or 4x tickets to Match 26 Qtr Finals in Vienna - my #1 choice 6/20. Cat 3 or whatever, does not matter for this one.
2) 2x tickets to Match 28 Qtr Finals in Vienna on 6/22
3) 2x tickest to Match 22 France-Italy in Zurich on 6/17

Each Nation is getting approx 6000 tickets per game in the Group Stages. Can anyone tell me what the percentage of these tickets are Cat1, Cat2 and Cat3? Is it something like 33% each Cat?

From what I've heard it's about less than 20% Cat3 and Cat1, and almost 70% Cat2 (smart guys, since for the first time is double price the lower category...)

I don't remember ever paying to get into a public viewing fan zone... Don't take that bid seriously, that would be my advice...

I was just reading this article: Millions of German fans clamour for Euro 2008 tickets (http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=afp-fbleur2008geraut&prov=afp&type=lgns).
With applications set to close at midnight on Tuesday, a staggering two million tickets have been requested by Germany fans for the 14,400 available for their country's three Euro 2008 pool games in Austria.
....
For each ticket, there is a five percent handling charge with an extra 20 euros (30 dollars) charge for the posting of each order.
The total price is charged to a credit card as soon as it is dispatched.
As English is not my native language... does this mean you're charged 20 euros just for posting an order (even if you don't win the ticket lottery)? That would have DFB getting 40 million euros just for the orders...

No, it means if your application is successful they will charge 20 euros to deliver the tickets to you.

There will be public viewing in each of the bigger cieties. The Tickets they sell on ebay, are mostly some TV Station events in Vienna, Zürich and Basel.

anyone know if there will ever be a ticket sales on last minute like the World Cup? Damn, I didn't get any tickets, and I am desperate to go. But I also do not want to pay those sharks for outrageous upsell...

You never know, but the philosophi is different to the world cup.
If there will be tickets available (Whyever), they will be distributed to the waitung list.
That's what I've been told.
Cheers

Hi,
Does anyone know if the FMT group tickets will be broken down into individual matches (i.e. 3 physically seperate tickets per person for all three group matches as was the case at WC 2006 and EURO 2004) or maybe will be printed as one ticket for all matches? UEFA is not clear on this issue on their website.
Kind regards,
dawidt :)

as each match will be in a different venue, not to mention different seat/rows/blocks, it'd be nigh on impossible to do that as one ticket, so three tickets is a pretty safe assumption.

I am not sure that this is not impossible since today's technology surely allows it. Simple bar-code based tickets may not be able to store so much information but chip-based ticket definitely can do it. The only question is the cost but I think smart cards are not that expensive anymore. I spoke to UEFA recently and they claim that these tickets will be valid for all three matches. However if those tickets will be paper based than it seems having the same ticket poses additional risks such as ticket wear (the ticket must now withstand the tear and wear of 2 games and be accepted by the scanner at the 3rd match!) Anyone else has any additional ideas?

the technology would make it possible, but tickets still need to have all the information printed on them so people know where to sit, with grounds plans etc. The tickets would be a mess and nigh on unreadable with the info for three games on one ticket.
I would say three tickets would be a very safe assumption.
