AFAIK the Dutch FA was never promised 10,000 tickets per match. Each FA will get 20% of stadium capacity, which in our case equals around 6.000 tickets per match. 3.000 of those, go directly to the members of the supporters association.
My guess is that per group match around 30.000 requests will be made (For the World Cup the grand total was 180.000 requests) .
If we assume an average of two tickets per request this means that per match 1.500 of 30.000 requests will be succesful. Ignoring the fact it's a weighted lottery (which may favour you, or work against you) that's 1 in 20 requests. Which is not much, but it is actually a better chance than i calculated for UEFA FMT tickets.
In addition:
One can only be allocated a maximum of one group match so assuming (nearly) everyone applies for all three group matches. The chance of a succesful application will actually become a bit larger with each lottery round.
Match1 (Not necessarily Ned-Ita): 1.500 in 30.000 = 1 in 20
Match2 (Not necessarily Ned-Fra): 1.500 in 28.500 = 1 in 19
Match3 (Not necessarily Ned-Rom): 1.500 in 27.000 = 1 in 18
:D
The Dutch FA lliterally said a couple of weeks ago that they expected to receive anywhere from 6,500 to 10,000 tickets but more likely 10,000 per group game!
The weighted lottery works in my favour as I've been a member for yonks but I still fully expect to be bartering for tickets in Switzerland.

I went to bank last Saturday to pay for tickets. Does anyone know how can I be sure that Uefa received my payment? I checked in the Uefa site and it says that I do not have any payments outstanding?

That message should mean that you’ve already paid everything you’re supposed to pay. I have only individual match tickets (paid in May through international bank transfer), and at that time was not right away that my info was updated in their website. Some days latter it appeared “payment received” (in the exact same place as now stands “You do not have any payment outstanding for this Application”), and that’s when I had formal confirmation that everything was ok.
As you have a similar message than I do, I guess things are ok with you. If you don’t feel comfortable try contacting through FAQ, sometimes they answer back... Good luck!
To all of you guys out there, merry x-mas and a happy (Euro) 2008 :),

So does anybody know what is the next thing that happens? Does UEFA ask us for the proper names to be put on each of our tickets? When do we actually receive the tickets?
Man, it was 9 months ago that I applied for tickets and 8 months ago that I was allocated four tickets and paid for them. Since then literally nothing has happened. Makes me wonder why this whole procedure had to begin so early when everything - apart from the shipment of the tickets to my house - was taken care of in a matter of weeks.

In their terms and conditions they mention that, but usually UEFA never asks us for the proper names to be put on each of our tickets. In last competitions they are all issued with the same name of the applicant, but this time who knows they'll make it different? I would not bet on it..
As stated in the ticketing terms and conditions (and as usually, for those who follow this competitions), the tickets are sent to the adress of the application between 1 month and 2 weeks before the tournament.
Hope I could help you. Take care and have a happy (Euro) 2008, Miguel

from UEFA website:
Austria and Switzerland are urging visitors to rely on public transport at UEFA EURO 2008™, with special train services connecting the host cities at the finals.
Comprehensive service
The Austrian and Swiss federal railway companies, ÖBB and SBB, are offering a comprehensive service in the summer, with special trains linking the tournament venues and overnight services ensuring fans can get back to their bases after evening games. With the emphasis on reducing pressure on the road network, supporters are also being encouraged to use local public transport.
Green concerns
With a focus on protecting the environment, match tickets will entitle holders to free travel on the entire Swiss transport network and on significant sections of the Austrian on the day of a match and up to noon the following day. Those without match tickets can also travel around cheaply with the help of one of the many finals packages provided by the ÖBB and SBB.
Clear signposts
Efforts are being undertaken to make stadia easily accessible from major train stations with 'infopoints' giving clear information about transport in host cities. Special signs bearing UEFA EURO 2008™ logos will also supply clear directions to stadiums at ground level. Further details of such projects will be available from 1 March on euro2008.com (http://www.euro2008.com/). Further information can be found on the ÖBB (http://www.oebb.at/euro08)and SBB (http://www.sbb.ch/euro08) websites.

question:
if 2 thousand people want to get to train with free tickets, and train can hold only 1 thousand, What others will do?
thanks

It sounds like they are going to have more trains running. Given that most of the stadiums are only 30K, I wouldnt worry too much about a massive overload on the trains. I'm sure they'll be able to accomodate the additional gameday load. But, it would still be crazy to cut your connections so close that you need to make a specific train to make the game. Just my 2 cents.

Any advice please!
I won Follow My Team Poland tickets for Euro2008 in the lottery draw. We paid by bank transfer on the 12 of December however our bank failed to state the reason for payment ie. x........z number which was the same as the customer reference number allocated to my be them. We took our concerns to the bank and they did a trace on the money and they confirmed that the bank transfer went through! I asked them to add the further details to their bank which they did.
Since then when logging onto the ticket portal they still state payment is due. I have sent them emails every day to get this sorted and phoned them international - the customer service representative could not do anything except log my query. Every email they reply to me does not answer my question just keeps asking me to check my current status on the website using my customer reference number!
I'm at an absolute state of concern as it's been more than 3 weeks, they still can't confirm my payment and have sent me a further 2 emails asking me to Pay now!!
Any ideas PLEASE!

Hi Leeza! If it was me, I would:
1) Try to phone their Ticketing Information Line (+41 44 559 0868) to see if you can find any help (although all the menus are recorded information)
2) Write them through the official channels (FAQs in the official website). The problem is that that FAQ FORM is LIMITED TO A SHORT NUMBER OF WORDS and DOENS'T ALLOW you to ATTACH ANY DOCUMENTS that support your arguments. So try to ask them for other forms of contact to solve this issues, like: PHONE NUMBERS (with an operator you can talk to, since through the UEFA Ticketing Information Line there’s no people answering fans doubts), FAX NUMBER (so you can send your exposition together with copies of other documents), EMAIL you can write to (so you can explain your arguments and attach relevant documents to support them) OR ADDRESS (alternatively, you can send your exposition and copies of all the documents by post).
3) Cross my fingers... :)
Good luck! Take care, Miguel

Go to BZ WBK. For international bank orders with BEN you don't have to open an account there and for SHA and OUR they have the lowest fee in Poland.
