to already be thinking about Wednesday?

I don't know what it is with this team, but you just can't stand still.

The only games I've really lapped up and sat back in awe of is 6pts off the dips and the Roma 2nd leg. Apart from that, I find myself always looking ahead?

Can you imagine the energy in that dressing room today? Fergie has that 'something' trapped in a bottle and he's sprinkled it over this lot for most of the season. I must have got a whiff of it as well, cos I can't seem to stand still!!

Can't think about Wednesday at all right now. No way. This game will carry me through till tomorrow afternoon. Then it's time to start looking ahead.

But if Fergie can capture this essence and remind the team how this feels, it can only be good for us.

You take maybe a couple of hours to savor victory before you have to move on... if you're a great manager like Fergie. I'm sure he's going to watch the rest of today's matches and then start focusing on Milan tonight... the tactics, the teamsheet, the contingency plans, etc.

The league is the one. I'm already thinking about the City game.

I bet I'll be a wreck just before the Milan game though. I was really calm before the first leg, thinking that the league was the priority, everything else a bonus. But then it hits me 2 hours before kick-off: EUROPEAN CUP SEMI-FINAL!

These are great days, no matter how it all ends.

I dunno.. I'm just thinking we're doing all this with a decimated squad and we have players to come back now!! It's just making me wide-eyed with regard to the possibilities for this team.

looking back at ancelotti comments and how he was pleased with the result ffs! look at that back line we lined up for ya. it's not like vidic and rio were sidelined for many weeks and the squaddies had a chance to gel.

whereas you look at the rent boys and you see the feckers they briing off the becn. so ********ing proud of this team.

I watched a replay of the match on ACMilan TV and the only thing Ancelotti can be happy about is that they are only a goal dowm. I did not realize how much we really dominated play until watching the replay. Even before Gattuso went off, we were the much more dangerous side. In reality both of their goals were actually against the run of play (most notably the second one).

Thats not true mate - It wern't till he went off that scholes started to get really into it . He had been pushed further up before Gattuso went off but the Loss of Gattusso enabled Scholsey to Dominate Mid-field .

Gattusso ran riot on Tuesday

Perfectly said. I'll be sweating and all come Wednesday, but really the league is the one for me. It's just so much rushing by, immense performances and results, but the next one is always just a couple of days away.

I have so much respect for those lads going out there and fighting like their lives depend on it every 3 days, I can hardly stand the plethora of emotions the run-in's throwing up. To come out of that, a great, historic comeback away from home, then just switch your focus to the next game... you have to be a mentally stable one to make it at that level.

I'm still in League Mode. I need the Tuesday CL game to get me back in the mood for Champions League ball.
