Nobody. Of all the players listed in this poll, I believe Cristiano Ronaldo will be the best.

He's clearly ahead of Messi at this stage, a point anyone with a functioning brain would realise. It also helps to highlight how stupid your previous post was.
It's too bad you resort to posts like this. You seem capable of better.

anyone can do that if they try and work for it and messi sure can
wow, just wow. Yes your right, anybody can accomplish what Maradona has :rolleyes::rolleyes:

I actually agree with Teso on this.
As of right now, C Ronaldo has done MUCH more than Messi. the problem is that some people get confused between what a player CAN accomplish and what a player HAS accomplished. Messi has the potential to be much better than C Ronaldo, but that doesn't mean that he is better right now

In terms of accomplishment, Ronaldo has done more but he also is older and has been injured less. Messi has the potential to accomplish more in the future and is already superior in regards to talent than anyone else in the world including Ronaldo and Tevez.

the only thing that c ronaldo is better than messi is in the air and in free kicks. Messi is better in everthing else

Pity their performances prove otherwise.

How? C Ronaldo's tricks dont even fake. Messi doesnt need to do tricks he just takes defenders and even takes the golie. C Ronaldo is good but messi is extraordinary

It's comical that Dr Know has to point out what you would think any casual futbol fan should know about one of the worlds outstanding players.

First of all, I am a huge Tevez fan, and think he is fantastic, and I wasnt necessarily disagreeing with him.
(regardless of what Maradona says.. These days, I really dont put any stock into what Maradona says anymore.. )
That point aside, I thought (perhaps mistakingly) he was going down the road of "how many championships has he won?"

Fair enough. One should take what Mardona says with about as much validity as what comes out of Pele's mouth. I've never felt rating players based on particular championships as an accurate barometer.

Have they decided to call Sergio Aguero the "Next Maradona" yet?

They should form a band "The Next Maradonas"... get rid of Saviola for Lavezzi though.

lol :p
It's Tevez all the way. He's better than Messi and Aguero IMO, though Aguero might pass him soon

Messi has proved nothing yet, he is an excellent prospect if he stays injury free. Ronaldo on the other hand is what Messi is hoping to be, he is what Messi's level should be at if he has a few consistent seasons of games but if Ronaldo has the same in that peroid Messi will still be behind him.
Both players are nothing like Maradonna though as they just dont compare in their passing range a weakness of both players. They are more winger forwards than the midfield maestro/support striker Maradonna was.

Aguerro has the potential to be the greatest player on the planet if he continues to progress.

Maybe to you Messi has proved nothing and is a "prospect," but he is Barcelona's crucial player. His coach describes him as "a unique player," as in, unique on the planet. I think the vast majority of people think of him that way. The question is, for a big game, who would you rather have, 23 year old Ronaldo, or 20 year old Messi. Many, many people would prefer to have 20 year old Messi in a big game over anybody in the world. That's hardly a prospect.

I wouldnt exactly say many many people i would say its a 50/50 split, its interesting you say big game as he was such a huge player he started on the Bench against Germany.
Messi is a prospect he has achieved nothing you may not agree but this is a fact. Ronaldinhio is the key to the recent success of Barca, Messi may be that now but where are they in the league? I also think there are stronger teams in Europe this season so they wont win that either.
Ronaldo has been nothing short of outstanding for the past 2 years and here is the key part of the sentence consistently.
Now thats a harsh critcism on my part as Messi is a great player who has endured terrible luck in which the Spanish media are to blame for. To say he is a better player than a player who has done more in his domestic championship and in Europe performance wise is naive.
