Let's keep this non-MLS. There's plenty of ego-stroking on BS as it is.

Can anyone explain the Texas flag in one of the shots?

Future Sounds of London's "Papa New Guinea" in that Horsham video, love that song:o

Fenerbahce:

Best fans in the world in terms of passion and support, little bit too "rioty" for me, but they're insane for the club.

I would pretty much give next to anything to have that type of support at Gillette for the Revs. Anything.

I can see a lot of good coming from this thread with all the Gers & Hoops fans in the Revs support. :D ;)

That Fenerbahce clip is nuts! Same with Maccabi Haifa, they get fire and we can't even get flag poles. :(

The Turkish fans are insane! In 1996 I went to 3 European games in 3 nights in Istanbul, and each one was madhouse. I was at the stadium picured int he video for Fenerbahce vs Juventus. It was pretty much like that the whole game, even though the Canaries lost 1-0. We bought the "expensive" seats at 1 million lira (insert pinky to corner of mouth). That was about $12 each.

The night before was less intense, but more of a fun atmosphere as Galatasary pounded some crappy side from Moldova called Lokamotiv or Dynamo or something like that, 6-1. After they gave up the goal, the fans next to me told me how they never should have let their keeper "Brad" go. Apparently Friedel was like those one-named Brazilians.

Thursday night we went to see Besitkas against a Norwegian side Bodo Glimt, and that was also an intense game. The home team was up 2-0 most of the game (after having lost 1-0 in the first leg), but Bodo pulled one back around the 87th minute, which meant they would go through on away goals. In added time, Daniel Amokochai (remember him?) dribbled the length of the field past about 6 players and was finally penned in down in the corner. He somehow managed to get off a cross to an open guy at the edge of the box and he roofed it! The place erupted! People were shooting off guns into the air in one of the most densely populated cities on the planet! I had to lie to my wife and tell her that, yeah, definitely, those are blanks, not real bullets!

The Dutch pwn, Holland are easily my favorite of the non-teams I support to watch. Ya know, how some people like Brazil or w/e, that's Holland for me. Total Football FTW...even though they don't play it anymore but still!!!

I just wet myself...If only the Revs could have something like that, I would be in heaven. Now THAT is what I call home field advantage. Seriously though, I actually do dream of crowds like that. If I were in Italy or something, I'd be in jail for being an ULTRA or something.

That would be cool to do one day right before the game kicks off, massive streamer throw. It would be a decent amount of money, but if everyone bought their own and some bought extras, we could get a nice little display going. Not to mention AC Milan pwn.
