How about Mascherano. In 3 months he goes from riding the bench for a relegation-threatened side to a MOTM-type performance for a Champions League finalist. What a turnaround. i couldn't be happier for him.
And I love the fact that Robbie Fowler's (likely) final game for Liverpool will be the Champions League final. I'd love to see him go out with a medal around his neck and thrusting Ol' Big Ears in the air.
I said earlier Mascherano is class in a glass. He had at least 5 crunching yet fair tackles -- five or six killer passes, and he never quit 'til he came off -- what a great footballer

Well said mate, well said. Fowler deserves a medal and a good send off.

The gaffer:
"Maybe it was better than when we beat Chelsea in 2005 and I am really, really proud of my players,"
"Chelsea are a very good side with some good players and at times it was difficult to control them. They had a lot of free-kicks but we defended really well and worked so hard all through the game.
"Our supporters were fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing and we are going to enjoy this victory.
"Pepe Reina was fantastic in the penalty shoot-out and he is an expert when it comes to that.
"This is a really important victory for the club and for the future."

I wouldn't go jumping to any conclusions just yet. manure has to finish the job at Milan, if you think they're (milan) gonna just roll over and let the scum take away their spot, you've got another thing coming.

Carra:
"It's a great achievement to beat a team like Chelsea over two legs. We thought there weren't going to be a lot of chances in the game and that's the way it turned out."
"Fortunately for us Daniel scored a great goal and then when it went to penalties we knew we had one of the best goalkeepers in the world and so we always had a chance.
"Of course we had the fans on our side and they again rose to the occasion. They were brilliant from start to finish and once again proved what a difference they can make.
"To reach the final again is brilliant and we're going to enjoy the fact that we're there again. That's the third year running we've beaten Chelsea in a semi-final.
"It doesn't matter who we play. We can relax now and all watch the game on Wednesday night."

Nah, Im just persuming that if Man. United play tomorow with Ferdinand and Vidic that Milan wont break their defence that easily like they did on first game. And i can't see Manu not scoring
After all, we all want English finale, don't we? or just me:o

Congratulations to Liverpool, the win was entirely deserved in my opinion. I'm glad that the club with the most passion won the semi final, and good luck to you in the final.

The season before Reina joined Liverpool he saved something like 7 out of 9 penalties for Villareal. He is brilliant at it. Thats probably why Rafa was sitting on his ass. He knew that we had already won. I'd take another penalty shootout in Greece.
I'd give my man of the match to Carragher. He was unbelievable again. Drogba is the most difficult player to defend against in the world. He's got everything. Carra stood strong against him, and some of his tackles saved our ass. Remember, one goal would have ended it, and we did the impossible by keeping a clean sheet. Agger was fantastic as well. Finnan makes a huge difference...never makes a mistake...best right back in the world. Riise had his best game defensively of the season.
Joe Cole, Lampard, Kalou, Robben...all non existant. Credit to our defense and also to Mascherano who was everywhere. Drogba was their only threat.
Kuyt's fitness is unbelievable. He was still chasing every ball after 120 minutes. He worked his ass off and deserved to score the winning penalty.
How much must Jose hate Rafa. The one thing Jose hasn't done with Chelsea is reach the Champions League final and both times it was because Chelsea couldn't win at Anfield.
Knocking Chelsea out of the semi final twice in 3 years is as good as it gets. Now lets bring home #6.

Wow...I still haven't been able to collect my thoughts.
I think my judgement of the game will be a bit skewed, because as I watched it I was on edge. I thought every Chelsea attack was going to goal, and anything positive Liverpool did, I applauded and jumped up and down. So I am going to watch the game in a week and think about who played good.
Hell, they all played better than they did last wednesday.

I assure you, it's just you.
Manchester could easily lose 2-1 and exit via away goals. The San Siro is a tough place to play in European competition. It's no Anfield, but what is? :D

I have to admit, I didn't think we could do it.
43 years of Kopite fandom and still I didn't believe. Shame on me.
Bring on whoever in the final, it doesn't matter. Athens will be bathed in Red and we will be ready to win it again :)

Just in . . .
Wow, what a feeling. Just brilliant you Reds! I love you! I love Liverpool! I'm just jealous of all you supporter's who get to cheer on the team with fellow Reds' supporters. I watched the game in a bar here in my town in Brazil with less than 10 other people, seemingly all nuetral except for one other Liverpool fan and my wife who like 2 years ago was pulling for Chelsea because they wear blue (poor thing!). (She's actually glad in a way because she knows how miserable I'd be to be around if Liverpool had lost . . . especially after the called back Kuyt goal in which I think the nuetrals watching got a big laugh out of me jumping up and down in celebration before finding out we were robbed.) That was that the most nerve-wracking 2-1/2 hours I've had since . . . Istanbul, perhaps. Way to go, lads. I was hoping for a Fowler winner in extra time (that would've blew the roof off the Kop!), but really any winner would have done. The PK's were brilliant for our shooters and Reina. I didn't feel good about Zenden taking a kick, mostly because of how he was gimpy at the end of extra time, but he was clinical. Zenden played well. Masch was huge. Agger bounced back wonderfully and also scored a sweet goal. Carragher was Carragher. Pennant caused trouble in the second half, before being subbed. Kuyt worked his butt off and never stopped and scored a goal (and nearly 2 more). Finnan was quiet but that's could be considered a good thing defensively. Riise was much improved at LB tonight. Crouch wasn't as effective as I expected but almost had a goal. Stevie G captains the team to another CL Final. Reina is master of PK's. Xabi came on and was much better than last week. And the Kop and all the supporters . . . first class, the best in the world ("In Every Heart Red Strength, Our Hearts Are Many, Our Strength Your Envy - The Kop"). I'm finally starting to regain a normal heart beat.
