From the Ayrshire Standard April 25,2007:
CELTIC fans’ over exuberance following their league-clinching win at Rugby Park last Sunday caused damage to around 1000 seats in both the Moffat and Chadwick stands.
But the Parkhead club will foot the bill for the damaged seats.
With the Killie fans long gone, the Hoops supporters stayed in the ground for up to an hour after the final whistle to hail their heroes.
When they departed, the damage to the seating was discovered, and now the race is on to get the repairs done before Hearts visit Rugby Park on the final day of the season, Sunday, May 20.
Workmen were at the ground on Tuesday to assess the damage.
It’s an SPL ruling that if visiting fans cause any damage at an opponent’s ground, they pick up the tab.
Kilmarnock FC were aiming to keep the matter low key this week. No one would comment officially.

1000 seats in Rugby Park? How do away fans damage over 5% of a stadium's seats?
Also, I thought that the Moffat Stand was for home supporters only?

Aye Normally, however because of the Huge Draw of the the Celtic supporters wanting to see the team clinch the Title, I believe the stands would have been fair burstin'.
From RTE
Celtic's travelling support of nearly 9,000 easily outnumbered the hosts with both stands behind the goals full of expectant fans with even a corner of the Main Stand set aside for the green and white overflow.

I don't think killie would be complaining too much, the sold out the stadium and they get nice new seats, was a good game for the bank account, That is why the wanted to keep it on the QT.

I originally said that the article was in the Ayrshire Standard it was in the Kilmarnock Standard. the click to the article is here (http://icayrshire.icnetwork.co.uk/kilmarnockstandard/news/tm_headline=celtic-pay-for-new-seats%26method=full%26objectid=18963929%26siteid=73592-name_page.html)
I would agree that 1000 seats would be huge. I read on an other webpage written by a Celtic supporter that the BBC had well documented the distruction of 1 seat, so I don't know the extent and it doesn't look like anybody wants to talk about it, however, I would think that by now there would be pictures of it leaked out if the damage was that catastropic.
