Boca needs to win by three goals to advance. Otherwise they have to hope that Toluca and Cienciano don't split the points.

Predictably, Bolivar will play a defensive match, with only one forward.

thing is that if toluca ties with cienciano and you guys win one of them is screwed so i dont know if both are going to be in the same page.

as far as bolivar bunkering down i think that the want to beat boca to save the tournie but they really should go out and play soccer, however if boca strikes early than you guys shouldnt have much trouble i hope you make it to the next round :p

If so, it is risky for Toluca to go for the tie, because if Boca wins by three, then Toluca is out. Cienciano can play for the tie, because they know they will advance for sure with one point, regardless of Boca's score. They have a better goal difference than Toluca.

Not really. Boca have to win by 3 goals. If Cienciano and Toluca tie and Boca wins but only by 2 goals Cienciano and Toluca advance because of goal difference.

The matches will be played at the same time, so If Toluca-Cienciano decide to play for a tie, Toluca could get screwed.

If Boca say scores the third goal late in the game, Toluca would have like 10 minutes to try and save themselves from elimination.

I think Cienciano might go for the tie, but I think Toluca may think it will be too risky (though Gallego is their coach :eek::p)

Especially playing at home, Toluca has to go for the win. I hope the Mexicans get the points, to keep the pressure from us. Boca should easily score three against Bolivar, but the way they've been missing chances this year, who knows?
