i don't know if you'd call it 'support', but i quite enjoy going loftus road and taking in a qpr match. i almost always schedule my trips to london so that i can go not only to the lane (hopefully twice), but also to see the RRRs.
it's nothing like my support for spurs, of course. i certainly don't monitor qpr activity every day. i mean, right now, off the top of my head, i couldn't name for you more than seven or eight likely starters for their next match. and, really, one of the reasons that i enjoy their matches is the fact that - unlike going to the lane - if results don't go your way, its no big deal. the fear of conceding is palpable at spurs matches. at loftus road, i just relax, sing a bit, and enjoy.

I love Barca because of what it represents and how they play. I have even begun to learn Catalan because of them.

There are certainly a few clubs i've taken a liking to due at least in part to what they represent politically or otherwise. Supporter owned clubs like Brentford as well - I like to see them do well. (Brentford not being a great example right about now!)

I'm not very popular for it, but my #1 team is DC United, my home town team whom I have been a big supporter of since its inception.
I have 2 top Premiership teams, obviously Spurs is one of them and the other is Manchester United. I have actually been a fan of United for longer than Spurs. Having two teams that you like in the same league does make life difficult for me, but luckily it always seems to mean always rooting for whomever is playing Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, so I guess it could be worse.
I follow Leeds a little too, but I couldn't call myself a true fans of Leeds United.
In the SPL I like Rangers. In Serie A I support Inter (yeah, it's a tragic thing too, all that money, all that talent, all that hope, and aside from this historic season, Inter always fail to achieve in Serie A or the Champions League). I also have a soft spot for Lazio.
More casually I pull for teams in other leagues, such as Ajax, Valencia, Auxere, St. Etienne, etc., but I tend to only check the MLS, EPL, Serie A and the SPL scores regularly.

Celtic is my other team. All their history and association with the Irish people is what draws me.

Good thread, Bitter. (Hey I just got thirsty).
I always enjoy reading people's responses to this one, and it's come up many a time on various message boards and will do so again, but it's still interesting 'coz it's always a different selection of posters.
Great choices for people's "soft spots" so far.
I'm surprised we haven't had the "I support Spurs and only Spurs. I'm Spurs through and through. No divided loyalties. 100% Spurs. How could anyone..." with the obvious subtext that that makes him a truer THFC fan than others.
What posters like that miss is that it's not about having lots of almost equal favourites, it's about having SPURS be #1 and unique in our affections, but with positive feelings towards other clubs.
Liking other clubs has the advantage that you can take sides on many other games you see, rather than the less exciting position of being a neutral.
When I lived in London and the South-east, and I did not have the money or time to follow Spurs away on a particular day, I would go to see another game, and I found that I was generally a pro-London supporter but with some exceptions of capital clubs that I couldn't stand: Arsenal and Chelsea.
West Ham I admired for the Hurst, Peters, Moore, Standen era but never really could relate to the club itself, maybe not being an East ender.
I would often go to QPR because they're easy to get to and somehow seemed a natural second choice. Many other Spurs fans did too, we even had our own chanting section in The (old, racket-making) Loft for many a game.
Palace ws next on my list because of my time spent in the deep south of town on the Surrey border, and I still enjoy quaffing a few ales in the Glaziers Bar and chatting with the locals in a friendly convivial atmosphere. Palace fans are like that, whatever Eric Cantona says!
Orient has traditionally been a favourite of many Spurs fans but I only went inside the ground a few weeks ago for the Northampton game, although I had many a lunch break outside the ground when I worked in the area.
I also follow the results of Halifax Town (nephew lives nearby and supports them, good for him, most of his mates are Manure) who are desperately fighting to stay in the Conference; Bristol Rovers (cannot tell you why); and Werder Bremen (relatives).
And, as mentioned above, I have grown to like most clubs that have active supporter involvement such as Brentford and Stockport.
I also "root" for underdog teams whenever there's a local rivalry, ie City over United.
In fact, the further away from England I roam, the more clubs over there I like.
I like it when a down and out former giant rears its head again: Blackpool, Sheffield Wednesday.
I like it when an ex-Spur brings success to a smaller club as Colin Calderwood did when with Northampton for example, ane wotshisname at Wycombe.
Plus Vecindario (Canaries), and various Bay Area sides due to my geographical hang outs.
I also find it cool than Danners and Bobby MacMahon (the latter by far the best bloke on Fox Soccer Channel) chose Dundee over Dundee United. Again, I cannot tell why, since I have never been anywhere near Dundee.
And finally I feel that more people should support Fisher Athletic, but I am somewhat over subscribed as it is.
Looking forward, though, most of all, to the upcoming televised Tottenham Hotspur matches against Boro and the Addicks.

I also support atletico madrid more in lines of Kun Augero and Torres. Injuries to Maxi Rodríguez hurt big time but still fighting for CL spot.

I support glasgow celtic as my father is from glasgow and is a life long supporter.
even though I don't watch mls I would say I support dc united since I was born and raised in the dc metro area.
I wouldn't really say I support any other clubs, but there are a few I enjoy watching.

I'm not trying to be all high and mighty, because people certainly can choose what they want to watch, but as an American soccer fan, YOU SHOULD WATCH MLS!
There, I feel better ;)

I don't have any team that I follow with the same fervor that I follow Spurs with. I'm a general MLS fan, and go to DC United games and support them as my team, but I'm from Philly and just can't bring myself to fully support a DC team!
I support Wisla Krakow as much as is possible, and also have a slight liking of QPR. It's came about because of Spring Break in London during my junior year in college, some drinking, and some rather interesting QPR supporters. A good time was had by all! In Germany, I feel partial to 1860 Munich.
Other than that, I simply try to follow as many Americans overseas as possible. Which naturally means that I also follow Fulham ;)

Glad to see so many DC United fans as Spurs supporters as well.
I have gotten in the habit of always supporting one of the newly promoted clubs to the Prem for one year and have had pretty good luck -- Wigan last year due to Orwells book and Reading this year cause of all the yanks and that great album by The Sundays back in the day but my support is fickle -- Spurs and DC United are where its at.
