Been seeing a lot of commentary in the media about this game being the most entertaining CL match since the United V Madrid game in 2003. That was the match United won 4-3 but went out on aggregate.

In both games United played some great attacking football, but were dodgy at the back. It's incedible to look at the difference in the teams tha played that day:

2003 vs Madrid: Barthez; Brown, Ferdinand, Silvestre (P Neville, 79), O'Shea; Veron (Beckham, 63), Keane (Fortune, 82), Butt; Solskjaer, Van Nistelrooy, Giggs

2007 vs AC Milan: Edwin Van der Sar, Wes Brown, Patrice Evra, Gabriel Heinze, John O'Shea, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher, Ryan Giggs, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney

Just 3 players that played last Tuesday took part in the 2003 game. And 2 of them, Brown and O'Shea, would not have been playing if some of our first choice players were not injured.

It's incredible how much the squad has changed in 4 years, but the style of football has remained.

:)... fans should learn that never work though, otherwise, Silvestre would have been long gone by now (sold for one pound on eBay).

Going with that reasonsing I would have bought Roque Jr. for $1,000,000. He's simply the greatest thing to happen to football since Pele.

:D I keed.

What a pompous prick. Everything has to be compared to Brazilian football, as if that's the be-all, end-all of styles to play.

Only you could take a complimentary comment praising our team and turn it into a referendum on a man's questionable character. It's an extremely classy (and also cliched) comment from a classy player who plays the game exactly as we all want to see it played (with attacking verve, teamwork, and selflessness), and you take every single opportunity possible to knock him because you've got some irrational, psychotic vendetta against anyone who's ever professed to being religious or Brazilian. Chill out, dude.

Angry Milan fan puts keeper Dida up for sale

ROME, April 27 (Reuters) - An angry AC Milan fan put Brazil goalkeeper Dida up for sale on the internet ahead of next week's Champions League semi-final return with Manchester United.

The 33-year-old, who joined Milan in 2000, was a hero after the shootout win over Juventus in the 2003 Champions League final but his popularity has slumped after a series of errors.

He was criticised following last week's 3-2 first-leg defeat to United at Old Trafford, when he flapped a Cristiano Ronaldo header into his own net and then left his near post exposed for Wayne Rooney to blast home a stoppage-time winner.

Dida failed to attract great interest on eBay. The price, before the Brazilian international was removed from the auction site on Friday, had reached 71 euros ($96.66) after 25 bids.

my reaction:
ahahahahahahahahahahaha great news for us!

I got a chuckle from the Manchester Evening News story on Ronaldo and Kaka.

They described Kaka's first goal and then wrote:

"His credibility almost went down the pan when he became one of a select group of players to have been cleanly and effectively tackled by Paul Scholes,...." :D

Great strike by Seedorf in their game against Torino...

It was a nice strike, but then again there was nobody within 10 yards of him. He had enough time to treat it like a spot kick. :)
