Gregory signs Rs deal until 2009
Queens Park Rangers manager John Gregory has agreed a two-year extension to his current contract at Loftus Road.
...
Gregory told the club's official website: "I personally have never been happier. I'm delighted to accept the offer made to me by chairman Gianni Paladini.

"I feel very honoured to have been the manager of QPR for the last seven months and to have been given the task of keeping us in the Championship. Now that has been secured, the rebuilding has to begin."

I like the way things are going with Gregory (obviously, while we're hot at the moment). But it seems like things are going in the right direction, and it's nice to have some stability within the club as we go into next season.

Agreed. This is good news. Some had problems with some of Gregory's choices (starting Nygaard too often is a common opinion, others thought he shouldn't have loaned out Gallen), but overall, particularly given the injuries to Rowlands, Cook, Ainsworth, etc., I thought he did a very good job. His additions to the squad (Cullip, Bolder, Mancienne, Camp, Idiakez, Smith, Timoska) all provided something positive. Good choices by Gregory and I give some credit to GP, too, for opening up the wallet to get them.

The story is now on the official site, too:

Gregory's quote continues from that posted above:
"We need to put some concrete in the foundations to make sure the Club does not sink to the appalling depths that it has done this season. That means making changes throughout the Club, which will not always be popular ones.

"I personally have never been happier. I look forward to working alongside Gianni, as we strive to build a better future for our loyal fans. All you need is love.''
Nice to see GP showing his inner-John Lennon. :D
