Hi folks, when I have been in Washington, DC previously, I have watched United play at Lucky Bar. However, with the big game today, and the fact that my train arrives at 2pm, I am going to be cutting it close, and I fear it might be totally jammed.

Is Lucky Bar worth going to if I get there at 2:30pm?

If you don't think you can make it to Lucky Bar & are metro-ing, try stopping at Gallery Place and hit up Fado. They should be showing the match as well and they haven't a bad selection of beer on tap (Boddingtons :)). RFD might be showing the match as well considering it is on ESPN2.

Do you think it will be too jammed by 2:30pm though? I think they have doors opening at 2pm?

With it being shown on ESPN2, I'd be surprised if either place was jam-packed, and if you're at Union Station by 2 you should be able to make to LB in twenty minutes, via cab or metro.

Also, match won't kick off til 2:45...I'll likely stay at home for this one, but may possibly head to fado...good luck:)

Mackey's on L Street (just east of 20th) will also show the game for you. Never crowded in there either.
