All but two Championship clubs have played 44 matches: Albion and Burnley. Somehow, we remain in the same place we were before the weekend matches: fifth in the Championship.

Tonight's match at Burnley could help us to cement our hold on a play-off place. A win would see us move up to fourth... then a result in one of our final two matches would ensure that we will have a chance at promotion.

Our ultimate fate at the end of the season rests on these few questions:

1) Can we score goals?

2) Are we able to score goals?

And most importantly,

3) WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE SCORE A F***ING GOAL?

We were one of the prolific clubs during certain parts of the season, but we cannot seem to score enough at the moment. Will we finally find the goals we need in time to save our season?

On a night in Lancashire when we needed all three points, we got none.

On a night when we went two goals up early, we fell apart like a house made of cards. Once again, we lost all composure late on. I don't blame our loss on Paul McShane's first-half sending off... it was a complete collapse by the whole side.

I will say, however, that the red card was a bad decision by the ref. McShane was clearly going for the ball, when his head made contact with Albion old boy James O'Connor. I don't think he went in with any malice toward his fellow Irishman, but the ref clearly saw something different. So that's another defender lost for the season.

We still somehow hold our fate in our hands... IF we can win at Coventry and at home to Barnsley. Unfortunately, Albion's inability to win is driving me - and all other Baggies supporters, I'm certain - stark raving mad in all senses of the word.
