Apart from the manager of your team(s) which manager in any club in the world (currently) do you respect the most and why?

I'd have to say either Dario Gradi, from Crewe, because of his longevity or Roy Keane, Sunderland, as he is a fookin' legend.

Of the current Premier league crop Rafa Benitez. Quiet bloke who gets on with the job. Sometimes he makes observations that cut right to the quick, like when he pointed out that Mourinho is only friends with managers who he can beat. he's fallen out with Rafa since he started beating them.

Conversley I can't stand Taggart and Wenger with their childish mind games.

In general though it's managers of the past I have greatest respect for, the likes of Cloughie, Jack Charlton, Bobby Robson and Bob Paisley. They just don't make English managers like that anymore.

Guy Roux. And his "peasant horse-sense". Auxerre is a countryside club.

The most respected manager in France is Claude Puel, the "Wenger of Ligue 1".

More upscale, isn't he ? :D

He began making his "love club", Monaco, French Champion in 2000. He has a great tactical sense, he's an excellent teacher. He's one of the 5 best French coaches including Wenger or Deschamps. Give him any group of young players, without any skills but hard workers, and he'll bring them to the Champion's League. He's fair-play and stout. He signed for a big project with the very little club of Lille, did a bad first year, but the president maintained his trust, and in response he stayed three more years now with success. Although he could have joined the biggest clubs like FC Porto who wanted him after Mourinho left.
That's not the "bad words guy" like a Mourinho or Houllier.
