As clean as these are they've been named "dirt magnets" I better invest in some more sneaker cleaner. and yes, the laces do have the cement pattern, and so will the black cat III (which i will be picking up as well)
The only reason i picked those flights up is to rock with my retro padres gear, only to find out, I have 3-4 other shirts that match 'em. besides... they're flights... and I have the white/red pair coming next week hopefully!!

i was looking around the web at sneaks and I keep seeing "deadstock" on some shoes. Does anyone know what that means or if its good or bad?

deadstock or ds means that they're new in box and haven't been worn

No, it means they haven't been worn.

I admit I did think that was what it meant (no longer made) as older items that are no longer produced are the only things I've seen the term used with.

Deadstock indeed refers to discontinued lines, and most probably comes from the days before shoes became collectable and when unsold stock would be sold off cheap to make room for new lines.
However, "Deadstock Condition" is kicksological vernacular (yea I made that up, but it works, k!) for boxed shoes in unworn condition. Picture shoes that have sat in a stock room, never been worn, most likely not even tried on and sometimes never laced. as such DS is a very good thing, although be warned the terms are used, misused and abused as interchangeable by the many, MANY unscrupulous ebay sellers etc etc. It's most likely you can tell from the pics, but a seller could very well argue his old wornout shoes are "deadstock" as the line is no-longer produced, however it's most likely the item description would be accompanied by terms such as "never worn" that could be used against them should they indeed be trying it on.
Not to contradict Swanny, as dude knows his stuff more than me, but it is a pedantic issue that im sure he's overlooked. Generally speaking, 99% of sellers just say "Deadstock" when they are legitimately referring to unworn, boxed shoes ("Deadstock Condition").
