Dynamo Houston @
El Toros Rojo del Nueva York:

MLS is billing this match as "Leaders face off at Giants Stadium". I guess that's nice and all, what with both teams undefeated and having a sum total of 8 points between them. Too bad Toronto and Real Salt Lake aren't playing and they could have a "relegation battle" to promote as well. Frankly, I'm surprised the MLS marketing department didn't set phasers to Hyperbole and promote this as a potential MLS Cup preview match, given that both teams are undefeated. Last Sunday, RedBullNewYork pounded a road weary FC Dallas last week in a driving Nor'easter, or as well call them around here "a drizzle", while Brian Ching continued to set more MLS and US Soccer records by being the frist and only Hawai'ian to score against ChivasUSA, in their 1-0 defeat of Goats Estadios Unidos.

MM10S Prediction - Arena gets another demonstration why he should have had Brian Ching on the field and Claudio Reyna as a 75th minute sub in Germany as Dynamo Houston wins with a brace from Ching.

Wizards @ Chicago Fire

This game has the potential to either be a nil-nil draw if Picken's and Company show up to protect the net or a 3-0 beat down on the Fire if the ArmaTierrez combination continues to "limit the opponents chances" by back and lateral passing amongst the 14 defensive midfielders Chicago will use at any given time, praying for the opportunity to spring Rolfe or Barrett for an occasional shot, then bunkering to hold onto the lead. Against the shorthanded Rapids, the Fire's attacked looked at tentative as a Klingon tryuing to walk down a hall full of Tribbles. The Wizards on the other hand are the Red Shirts of MLS when it comes to visiting the Windy City, garnering just a single win there in 11 seasons. The question really is, has Eddie Johnson found his mojo or does Troy Perkins just suck more than a shop vac in a black hole after letting KC slap him around the previous week?

MM10S Prediction: KC's bad karma continues as Chicago's punchless attack scores off of a late deflection in front of S8 for the game winner. 1-0 Fire.

Real Salt Lake @ Chivas USA:

Predicting this game is about as easy as laying odds that Bill Shatner is going to score with some green alien chick or one with pink hair, right before he pops her in the jaw after laying a kiss on her. With Nick Rimando being Nick Rimando and Eddie Pope being slowed by a hip pointer, expect Ante Razov to perhaps get goals 100, 101, 103, 104 & 105. He'll miss on 106 after choking a PK.

MM10S Prediction: Chivas ∞ - 0 RSL. MLS has to have Steven Hawking develop a new kind of math to count the number of goals RSL is going to give up.

Rapids @ FC Dallas on Sunday:

Frankencooper and Flipper Ruiz shouldn't have any problems dispatching Colorado as long someone shadows Herculez Gomez and denies him the ball. Gomez The Bouna Condoul Bandwagon will hit a speed bump in the form of outside shots from Ramon Nunez testing him and his defense, allowing Ruiz to play provider for Frankencooper for at least one goal and possibly getting a late one for himself again as the Rapids push for the equalizer. Gomez will get the goal for the Rapids as both he and Frankencooper make their cases for at least on the the summer tournaments that the US will be involved in.

MM10S Prediction: FCD 3-1 Rapids

I dont follow the MLS much 'cause it bores me but anyways u misspelled something in Spanish. You were close though.;)
"El Toros Rojo del Nueva York".

El Toro Rojo de Nueva York:
-"del" could work but "de" is preferable in this sentence.

umm seriously??? Los Toros Rojos de Nueva York...gotta have all agreeing in plural form. Thats what would be correct, but obviously he is going all tongue in cheek anyways..

Yeah, it's either el toro rojo or los toros rojos. Either singular all the way through or plural.

As far as the hyperbole goes, perhaps, but I think they are doing FSC a favor with the hype after the dog of an opening schedule they were given with Chivas-TFC and an undersold but actually somewhat entertaining KC-DC goalfest. This game actually has two playoff teams from last year (even if NY and/or Houston are overrated), so it isn't a dog on its face (like KC-DC might appeared at first glance ... gee, who would we have expected to win that? Not as it turned out, but....), and they are tied for the division lead, even after two games. Even if it was the networks who do NFL or NBA they'd probably play this sort of game up some.

I think Houston's plodding, controlled style and tall players to head turf bounces mean we can play well on their turf (I think shorter teams more reliant on knocking the ball around a lot, and used to being on grass, have more trouble translating to turf), but last year's history with NY was two ties. Tight game expected and another tie would not surprise.

I can't imagine them letting the RSL-Chivas score get too out of whack after Seitz played mid-week. It's Wally Pipp and Lou Gehrig, and if Wally Pipp struggles he'll get yanked.

Colorado is my West Conf. dark horse (people seem to forget they are in the process of upgrading a conference finalist two years running), so I think the Dallas game may have the opposite result.

In short, you don't know a damn thing about the Wizards, but you heard Eddie Johnson was on the team. It's nice preview of the Fire, I guess they're they only team in the game. (Note: it's the "Kansas City" Wizards)

Seriously, if you're not going to actually try to follow the whole league, why bother posting - other than the paycheck?

Tell the truth, you're Ives Galarcep, right?

Since when do the bloggers get paid?
You think they'd do some spellchecking if they did.

I noticed a theme in todays post but I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

I know they are still playing in Arrowhead, are no longer owned by Gruppen HuntSport. Other than that

They're hardly a Doomsday Machine. All they've done so far is beat down DC, which is an event that looks like it's going to happen with a certain regularity that will bring untold joy to my hear.

It's nice preview of the Fire, I guess they're they only team in the game. (Note: it's the "Kansas City" Wizards)

Andy, shouldn't you be beating off to old Veronica Paysee pics right now?

As long as it pissed you off, I'm well on my way to earning enough S&H Green stamps to get that Huffy BMX bike I want.

Tell the truth, you're Ives Galarcep, right?

Oh , you mean that nice undertone of sarcasm and bitterness, mixed with a complete lack of knowledge about the way teams are playing so far this year? I didn't catch that either.

If you're gonna try to bring the smack, the least you could do is spell the Veronica's last name correctly.

Ives couldn't hold my jock.

So you've tried that, huh.

You expect that from someone that has yet to figure out when to use an apostrophe? ("if Picken's and Company")

Andy, I'm shocked that you even thought I was Ives. I have yet to use the term "Captain America".

You understand marketing, yes? Would anyone tune in if they sold the match as "Early season game that will mean something in the greater picture, but not earth shatteringly important right now"
"leaders face off" is hardly hyperbole as much as it is factually correct.

You attempt at sarcasm and wit had all the success of a Titanic trans-Atlantic voyage in this case.
