I know I am and I guess for Maradona started it for me in 86 and 90 and carried it on in 94.
Even when he left I still supported Arg and still do to this day, just want to know if there are any other adopted Argentine supporters or are not Arg in anyway like me and I dont even speak Spanish.
I am from India originally, I got a similar complexion to Maradona and I am his height but thats it
However when ever Arg play, I will support them 100%, go to English pubs if they are on the telly and will use them on any football video game and wear the jersey as much as I can, I want to go to Arg to see Arg vs Brasil for WC qualifiers in 2011.
Even thought I was born and live in England, I still support Argentian and even if India ever qualified for the WC, I will still support Arg
Many Thanks

I support Argentina, especially when they play the English. Not my #1 team, but I root mostly for teams from the Americas anyway...except Mejico.

Actually I have always wondered how do Native Argentine supporters look on at people like us, as I have NEVER talked to an Arg person before as to be honest I have never known any

I support Argentina, but not if they play the USA, I have my limits. Argentina is an amazing footballing culture, they are simply mad, I love them for it. I get to watch Boca Jrs on the telly a ton and Batistuta was one of my all time favorite players way back when.

Diego,
I was born, brought up and live in England, my parents emigrated to the UK back in 1954 fron India. Like you I love Argentina and also like you it is down to Diego. I've been lucky enough to visit Argentina and seen the national team play in Argentina, in the 1998 world cup and in the world cup in Germany last year. My support for Argentina is genuine and sincere, it will always be the beloved albicelestes for me.

You can add me to the list as well. I am an American born and raised in California here in the US. For me, it all began back in 1994 when I watched Argentina play Romania during the World Cup in Pasadena, CA. What I remember most about that match is a little 20 year old forward named Ariel "El Burrito" Ortega start alongside Abel Balbo. From then on, I have become a suppporter, not only of Argentina's National Team, but River Plate as well.

As an argie I'd like the world to expierence the argie experience.....its great to see pro-arg feeling....Unfortunatley being a foreigner here there is a lot of anti arg attitudes heaved upon me....coming from others in the hispanic community...carribean hispanics don't know where argentina is located...once i was asked by one if argentina was near italy...might as well be there are alot in southeren south america.....i get made fun of my accent by mexes....and they feel the need to say brasil is this and that and alot comments that are obvious anti arg from other south americans...but in some instances it appears to be an obvious envy element and in other cases its perhaps a bad expierence with an argie...who knows.....but that other folks that are not argie to be pro argie is beautiful and in my book you are argentines....the country is made of many ethnic groups but they consider themselves argi just plain argie not aremenian/argi, polish/argie as in the case here in america where they are ital/amer, afri/ amer, irish/ameri
a tremendous sense nationalism in arg... all i can say is thanks you have made a great choice....and you are always welcomed to be a part of it ......because if you jump and sing with us you are one of us

well I understand about the negative feelings as yes I have been racially abused before by English people about supporting Argentina.
Also I have also been verbally abused by Brazilians and then they get real personal and talk about colour and stuff.
I find it real stupid when I have been abused by English and by the few Brazilians, all because I support Argentina.
I dont know if its cause I serve Argentina but when people and me talk about my team verus their team and stuff, it gets out of hand.
I am glad to see ARG for the first time in real life against Brazil last year in London  , I was very sad when we lost 3-0. :p
All I know is ARG 4 LIFE and I will try to infleunce my kids to support ARG as well, Pele is King but Maradona is god.

I am Canadian, with no ARG background, however, I will support them fully, and all of their players around the world. My parents have a friend who is from Argentina, she is the only Argentine I know.
I just love the way they can play football, it is amazing, and better than any other country.

Diego,
Like you I live in England, like you I have an Indian background and like you I tend to keep my support for Argentina quite (which is why I like this forum so much), as it’s not the wisest thing to be seen supporting Argentina in England (which is a shame as I have so many nice Argentina shirts).
However, I did buy my 4 year old nephew a Argentina shirt with Messi written on the back, given that he is 4 and lives in London he can get away with it.:D
I was also at the Argentina v Brazil game at Arsenal’s new ground. It just confirmed why I hate Brazil so much, the horrible plastic fans, they started doing the Mexican wave 2 minutes into the game, bunch of muppets.

YO you remember when the Brazilian fans started booing when they had a 1 mins silent (cant remember they had a silent now).
So I take it you dont live London? cause I do and also I will be going to WC in 2010 maybe we might see each other there.
You know Japan is my fav country abroad next to America and I couldnt go to JPN as I had a crap job.
However I am glad I didnt as it would have runined my holiday, one us losing to England and us getting knocked out of the quarters (we should have taken Saviola)

Diego,
I don't live in Lodnon but my brother does so I visit it quite often. He lives in Islington and is about 15/20 minutes walk from Arsenal's new ground.
I was actually at the Argentina v Germany game, it was heartbreaking because the world cup was there to be won but Pekerman lost his bottle when it really mattered and him not bringing on Messi was a disgrace, still it'shistory.
All the best and who knows the next time Argentina play in England we might meet up for a drink.

I tend to support every South American national team unless they play against my home country (Bolivia). But I have this thing in which i would never wear another national team jersey other then Bolivia's. I do on the other hand support River Plate ever since the late 90s when they had the trio of Saviola, Aimar and Juan Pablo Angel.

I am Mexican and support Mexico of course, but I have a special love for Argentina, especially since my fiance is from Argentina. We support each others national teams and clubs except when they play each other. The World Cup was really tense and she got the best of me. But, then I will bring up when my Chivas eliminated Boca in Libertadores. Its all fun with us, but some people take it too seriously. Futbol in Argentina is such a passion, people of rival teams hate each other, they are really passionate. I going to Argentina next month and will definately try to catch a Boca game.

I was Born and raise in Queens, N.Y. always was facinated by Argentina basically because my father's father lived there in the early 1900's, he was not argentine though he was from italy and came to the states around 1920. he died more than 20 years before i was born. it was a no brainer to root for Argentina once i discovered Maradona! and as coincidence would have it my girlfriend is argentine, although a river supporter.
I went last summer to Mendoza and BA & Loved it, Unfortunatly it was just after they were eliminated from the World Cup. i got to take the tour of La Bombonera and my next trip i am scheduling around a few Boca games.
its a beautiful country with the most beautiful football
