MTK

They won their 22nd Hungarian championship after beating Ujpest 1-0.

MTK could also enter the second CL qualifying round in 2003/04. UEFA will decide on June 16th...

I guess Ferencvaros had a mini-riot after their game against Debrecen. Fans stormed the field and started beating up on the Debrecen players and coach.

They apparently beat up players from both teams. Unfortunately, this isn't their first time. A couple years ago, the "fans" trashed the team bus on the way back from an away match.

this is why hungarian soccer is in the state that is in, only hooligans attend the games

Fradi was fined about $18,000 and they have to play their home games until Dec. 31 in an empty stadium (including a UEFA Cup match). There were also some fines for some of the management.

I think they can appeal and, since they are Ferencvaros, expect it to be drastically reduced!

There was also something about a bribery issue, but the article I read said they would deal with it at the next meeting.

I thought the situation was bad when I left 4 years ago. Sad.

szia fred,

nem tudom, but I have heard rumours that the site owner (jan) didn't pay the bills because the site was costing to much and the reklams were not covering the cost.

mindegy, this has happened before and we got bigger, so IMO we wait to see if XT comes back if not we contact everyone and see where our new home will be.

I can contact everyone except máté and TiB (altough TiB posted on index.hu but not seen him there for a while)

regards

jános :)

I have tried contacting Jan several times, but I have not gotten any reply. This downtime was not planned, and without Jan, I can do nothing. I don't have his phone number, and apart from that I don't know what other way I have of contacting him. Hopefully, he will come online soon, and realize that Xtratime is down.

Jan has left us again in the dark like many other instances. However, XT will be back. I dont know when and how yet since we couldnt get a hold of Jan as of now but we are in constant communication to the server people and if we can convince Jan to give the site back to its real owners, that is Xtratime Community free of his previous debt, Xtratime will be back and that is a promise. We will do whatever is necessary including covering the costs.

Hopefully, this time he will be tolerant and understanding as to how much we care about this place and we will bring back our home stably online this time.
