Soccer Fans,
MLS Phoenix Rising was created during the first week of March this year. The purpose of the group is to provide a focal point for Arizona soccer fans to rally together and to demonstrate our future support of Major League Soccer in our state. The response has been tremendous. As of today, an incredible 967 people have taken the time to register for MLSPR at http://www.mlsphoenixrising.com
During the week of April 2nd, we had two chapter meetings. Our West Valley Chapter held it's kick-off meeting at R.T. O'Sullivan's in Glendale and on April 3rd, our East Valley Chapter met for the first time at R.T. O'Sullivan's in Mesa. The turnout for both meetings was terrific and both chapters are well on their way to spread the word in their respective communities about MLSPR!
If you live in the West, or East Valley area and would like to be involved in this effort, please plan to attend the next meeting closest to your home. We would welcome you and appreciate your support! Details regarding the date, location, and time to be available on our website very soon!
Currently, we are working to establish MLSPR Chapters in Central Phoenix/Scottsdale and Tucson. More details to be available on our website soon, http://www.mlsphoenixrising.com.
The passion and desire demonstrated by the Phoenix area has been tremendous! If you have not already become a member of MLS Phoenix Rising, please do so today! Join the effort to bring professional soccer to Phoenix!
NEWS & NOTES:

PHX Soccer Development has acquired the right to the local sponsorship and are devoting resources to make the Phoenix Futbolito event the most successful stop on the 14-date tour. Gagnon proclaimed “(Futbolito) is a chance to show the MLS brass what our group is capable of.” The event is open to all soccer players of all ages. We encourage all soccer players and/or fans to sign up to play.
