I'll start with the song I began with in the BigSoccer BC thread with this subject:

"Melt With You" by Modern English

As a former college dj (1980s vintage), I want to puke every time I hear this song now. I had so many requests for it that I finally just started saying, "No, think of something else."

The only thing that annoys me more than having to hear YMCA by The Village People at every blasted sporting event I attend is watching half the crowd flopping around their arms spelling out the letters in the title.

2. You remind me-Nickleback
3. Anything U2 has done for about the past 4 or 5 years.

There's a difference between (a) hating the novelty hit like Baha Men or the fist-pumped-in-the-air-boring-radio-rock of Nickelback, and (b) hating the act that critics and fans cry over as tremendous regardless of whether it sells or not. To me the first is easy (novelty hits always have a backlash) and the second is hard, unless you're talking about British critics, in which case they will eventually turn against themselves ("Yes, Jesus Jones were shite after all.")

With that, I'll admit that I hated Bob Dylan's last two albums. "Love And Theft" sounds like "Time Out Of Mind", which too often sounds like dog crap to me.

"My Sharona" - The Knack

"Who Let the Dogs Out?" is a close second.

That stupid song by Avril Lavigne. An incredibly hot and well-dressed youg girl singing about how everyone should be themselves and be happy with who they are. Give me a break.

I didn't like much of the new Eminem album either.

These new punk tribute bands; the Strokes, the White Stripes, the Hives. They're so pathetically devoid of talent and creativity that they couldn't come up with a new style. They had to revive one that hasn't been relevant for twenty years. And none of them can sing. Or play more than two chords. Joke.

Agreed, but don't forget the prime offender: The Vines. Come to think about it, I don't like much of anything that gets radioplay anymore.

That stupid new Eminem song. No wait, every Eminem song. And like some people said so far, How You Remind Me or whatever that Nickelback song is called. They know how to kill a song here in New York.

None of them can sing? Are you joking? The kid from the White Stripes is a fantastic singer. oh well, it's all a matter of opinions anyways.

Ok, so some of you hate rap. That, however, doesn't change the fact that Eminem is a great rapper and he's got some great material. Yep, I said great.
