Hello,
I´m making a thread about argentinian football on a scandinavian forum. I´m very interested in the argentinian football culture, and football in south-america has always facinated me. Do you know about any good sites with loads of information about the clubs, like who is the richest clubs and who is the poorest? What club do very well on low budgets and who do bad with high budgets? Stadium sizes? What are the clubs best starting lineups, and what talents are knocking on the door for first team action? Who are the clubs key players, and can any of them end up like legends in the clubs history in form of great acchievements and long and faithful service for the club? Who are the best supporters and who are the worst? are there many hooligan clans that are only making trouble and don´t care about the football?
Information like this hopefully some of you in here can help me with, as I want to get the south-american football on the chart in Scandinavia, I´m a bit tired of everybody looking to England, and they don´t seem to know very much about what´s going on in south-america. Hoping for good responce here guys.
Thanks!

what is it that you need most information on, i think the two richest clubs are river and boca. independiente got a lot of money from aguero in the first division arsenal are probably the ones that stayed up a long time with hardly using a big budget. also usually clubs have a barra that is the hooligans that have more intention on crime than soccer, la buttler (san lorenzo) la doce (boca) borrachos del tablon (river) los guerreros (central) anything else you need to know.

Visit my blog: http://r-i-v-e-r.blogspot.com
You will find a lot of info on one of the biggest clubs in Argentina, River Plate.
Give me individual questions about River, and I'll reply to you as soon as possible.

http://www.ole.clarin.com/diario/hoy/index.html
that is a site of a sports newspaper that has lots of futbol info
I think the best managed could possibly be Velez as they always bring up good youths and are smart enough to know to sell them to Europe as opposed to bigger Argentinian clubs that they will have to play against

To take an example on how i likely would present every club.
Club: Boca Juniors
Stadium: La Bombonera(The chocolate box), Buenos Aires
Stadium capacity: 57,395
Chairman: Mauricio Macri( any history on this guy? how did he get the job, what has he done before in his career?)
Coach: Miguel Angel Russo( same as the chairman, what´s this guys history and former acchievements?)
Club history: The club was founded in 1905 by five italian immigrants. Boca have used blue and yellow as colours on their jerseys since 1913. The fans get called los xeneizes, that means the Genoese, after the italian immigrants that mostly where from Genoa in Italy. Boca supporters are known as La Doce, wich means that they are the 12th man because of their influence in especially the homegames, when they´re making much noise when they are cheering on their team.

I´m probably going to use a model like this. I can find out mostly of the things myself. But when it comes to starting lineups, key players and rising talents on every other club but Boca, I have some trouble to find the info I want. And I would like to know more about the fans aswell. And mabe te financial situation at the clubs.

It was just to make an example, but I must admit it was a shame to forget to write down Maradonna!
Annyways, I´m using wikipedia for most of the info, but as I said earlier, I don´t know much about the lineups, and key players and talents in the clubs and some other things. So that´s the most important things that I need info about.
But thanks to everybody that´s helping out in this thread! ;)
Hope to get the full lineup for Argentinos before i post the next team. And maybe some talents aswell.
