I really like Kallstrom, but I have a feeling he'll ultimately end up in the EPL. That's where most Scandinavians prefer to go, and Kimmy is certainly strong enough to hack it in England.
Though I will miss him if he does. He's the only non-defensive alternative to Juninho or Tiago, and when he does score, his goals are never boring.

He has a tremendous left foot.

will he stay or will he go? I was under the impression that he would play as much or more than Bodmer this season.
The fact that he's a lefty is also a bonus since he can play on the wing in a pinch too.

He's one of my favorite players on the planet. I've been a fan of his ever since I saw him with Rennais. He is a very complete player from what I've seen, he's strong, hustles and has a great shot. I don't doubt for a second that he'd do great in the EPL
Lyon should do their best to hold on to him for as long as possible.

Lyon should do their best to hold on to him for as long as possible.110% agreement. when you're after 4 trophies every season you need depth, and a player who can pass, shoot, tackle, take FK's and is a lefty to boot...
we've given up diarra, tiago and malouda, and kim can fill all these roles... let him go and who does that? in any case, i think he's better than bodmer (who i do like, no mistake) and will get plenty of time.

I'd rate him and Bodmer about the same, as I think they're the "class below superstar" player. They would start I think for almost any national team except the very elite ones.

one match for the spitting incident. you see, it pays to be contrite and have a good reputation. the basic tarif would have been 3 matches!

Kim is very versatile that is what makes him solid and valuable.
i wish, my good friend, kireintechni was here.
She is a HUGE Sweden supporter and knows a lot about the
National team as well as their players throughout Europe.

Let's hope people don't hop on the "Lyon are favored by the LFP" bandwagon. Kallstrom's expulsion by itself was a severe punishment.
In good news though, he has accepted Lyon's contract extension. He is now tied to the club until 2012 with a very nice salary package.
I was fairly confident he was going to be around for another year, but I was worried he wouldn't extend his contract, which would make it easier for other clubs to get him cheap next year. It's a measure of a player's devotion when they look out not only for their best interests but that of their clubs. Kind of like what Malouda did (though not Abidal).
