And it's official:

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/recruitment/

Doesn't say anything about who'll be able to receive it though.
Although as the owners are American then I would say there's a fair chance it'll be available in both the UK and States (and probably a lot of Asia too).

Interesting times. :)

I'm applying as Graphics Manager. With this on my CV/Resume, I should be a shoe in.

YES! that's fantastic news! I can't wait to drop my stupid Fox Soccer Channel, that for some reason is programmed by someone obsessed with AC Milan. I really do hope it's available in the US!

As I understand it, if you have Setanta or an E-Season Ticket subscription to the LFC website, you'll have access to LFC TV.

That $9 I pay every month for the E-Season Ticket just keeps getting better! :D

I hope I am wrong about this, VERY wrong actually, but I don't think Setanta US is carrying LFC TV. It's its own channel in the UK, but in the US, Gol TV dropped it, and no one else has picked it up.

Please tell me I am wrong. Pleeeeease. I don't want to have to buy FSC and Setanta.

From the official site. Note that there is no info that it's being sold to anyone in the US, which means if you want it you need e-ticket.

LFC TV, Liverpool Football's Club's dedicated TV Channel will launch in September 2007. The channel will be broadcast on cable and satellite as part of the Setanta Sports pack Subscribers will receive LFC TV along with 8 other sports channels including Setanta Sports 1 & 2 which will feature 46 live Premiership games. The monthly cost for this package will be £9.99 on satellite (currently £8.00 on Virgin Media Cable or inclusive within Virgin Media's XL TV package).

If you have further questions about the new channel please see our FAQ's below:

How do I sign up?

Why is LFC TV only available as a bundle with the other Setanta channels?

Liverpool FC have been looking into options for a television channel for a number of years and the Setanta offering is the first that has been considered commercially viable. We also regard the Setanta proposition, which entails receiving 9 channels for a monthly subscription that is only very slightly higher than some standalone Club channel offerings, as extremely good value for our fans.

Can I access LFC TV from overseas?

UK and Republic of Ireland subscribers can view LFC TV as part of Setanta sports on their television. Fans in the rest of the world can watch LFC TV online as part of an e-Season Ticket subscription. If you are interested in subscribing to e-Season Ticket (which will include LFC TV once it launches in September) please see our free preview area.

In addition, LFC TV is being sold to various other broadcasters around the world, including:

Africa – Supersport
Asia (excluding China, Japan & Korea, - Goal TV
China - Eurosoccer
Greece TV - Prosports
Hungary & Romania - Sport Klubb - IKO Kabelteve
Middle East - ART
Poland - Polsat
Russia - Loranza
Serbia, Slovenia Croatia & Bosnia - Sport Klubb - IKO Kabelteve

Contact the broadcaster in your territory for more details.

Can I get LFC TV on Freeview?

LFC TV will not be available as a stand-alone channel on Freeview. If you have a Freeview box with a Viewing Card slot you can take out a Freeview subscription to Setanta and watch some of the top action on Setanta Sports 1, including LFC TV branded Champions League and Premier League matches. For more details please see http://gb.setanta.tv/freeview.htm (http://www.topuptv.com/setantasports.html)

Will I be able to watch live games on LFC TV?

Like other Club channels, LFC TV will not be able to broadcast live Premiership and Champions League matches. There will, however, be live reserve coverage and no less than 50% of all friendlies involving the Liverpool football team on a live and exclusive basis. As your LFC TV subscription also includes Setanta's other channels you will, of course, be able to watch the live match coverage of 46 Premiership games on Setanta's other channels.

How much is the Setanta package (including LFC TV) on Virgin Media Cable?

Virgin Media is to offer customers who take Virgin Media's XL TV package an additional six Setanta Sports channels.

The cable group says this is not a "one-off" offer, and the extra channels - Setanta Sports 1, Setanta Sports 2, Setanta Golf, Racing UK, Celtic TV, Rangers TV and LFC TV when in launches in September - will form part of Virgin Media's TV XL package on an ongoing basis from July 26.

Customers of any other Virgin Media TV service who want to add these Setanta channels to their service will be able to do so for just £8 a month.

Setanta Sports content differs in Ireland and offers an additional channel and programming in ROI on the Setanta Ireland channel, including an extra 33 Exclusively Live Barclays Premier League games including 3pm Saturday kick offs, Live UEFA Champions League, Live Formula 1 racing plus Live Rugby World Cup coverage and much more

Can I watch LFC TV as part of my e-Season Ticket subscription?

e-Season Ticket holders will be able to stream LFC TV in its entirety from the e-Season Ticket console as part of their e-Season Ticket subscription.

Will all e-Season Ticket content be on LFC TV?

While much content will feature on both e-Season Ticket and LFC TV, e-Season Ticket will also maintain the following:

Live audio match coverage.
On demand highlights, goals, press conferences and interviews.
On demand reserves and youth coverage.

Will I get a discount on LFC TV if I am an e-Season Ticket holder?

We are currently investigating the possibility of a bundle package for e-Season Ticket and LFC TV. If this goes ahead further details will be announced in the forthcoming weeks.
