Got to win the home games now to have a chance of european football again next year, This is our hardest one and we've got a poor poor record in this fixture in recent years so the chances don't look good. :(

This is our best chance to take Arsenal in a long time. They are basically mailing it in from summer vacation and probably feel a bit safer after this past weekend. Plus I doubt any of their kids get the rivalry aspect of this tie. They can't score and we can't keep a clean sheet, so something has to give. We go up 3-0 and fritter away the lead but hold on 3-2.

I demand victory. This is a great chance to do, but so have the last three times too and each time it's gone the way of the pear.

I want to get those pr*cks back for the Carling Cup defeat and the earlier defeat @ the Emirates (sp).

if the bounces don't go our way, or we're just victimized by a wonderstrike, well, what can you do? but if we don't put in the kind of effort that arsenal at the lane demands (in other words, if we don't work a hellofalot harder than we did at emirates), my reaction won't be so empathetic.

frankly, though, if we put in the kind of effort that the occasion demands, i think it could be a very long afternoon for the arse.

what the hell. i'll say 4-2.

If we look listless, I think it could put Jol or Commoli on shaky ground. There is no excuse to not come out swinging ala West Ham vs us last month. If we look sluggish, it means our coaches and players are half-assing it with a vital European spot in jeopardy.

It may have been an away game, but anytime we let Wigan score 3 ... we're just too much of a leaky boat. Arsenal have the players and attacking attitude to destroy us if we don't tighten up our defense. I really hope King is back in the lineup, and I think he will be.

One slightly good thing is that Arsenal aren't the strongest aerial threats in the Premiership, so hopefully we will not give up our usual soft aerial goal.

Say whatever you like, but without Carrick and Davids in our midfield and King in our back line, we're a horrid defense this season. :( I expected King and Davids to make a difference, but wow, I never expected us to be this bad defensively.

Hopefully we can rise to the occasion and take all 3 points from a faltering Arsenal. I'm worried about earning a European qualification spot at this point ... and even 7th place gets one. Not a "must win" game, but after dropping 2 points at Wigan the games are inching in that direction.

This game has 2-2 draw written all over it. And you don't know how much it hurt to type that.

I think there might be a little too much doom and gloom following the away draw at Wigan. Yes, it sucks to have not taken full points, but the truth is that we were playing away after a long stretch of matches in short succession, with a beleaguered backline that had one very young player playing out of position and two others who had to have been exhausted after playing almost every game this season. I'm actually impressed with our ability to recover from three different one-goal deficits while playing away to a fresh team that’s in a potential relegation battle.

I think we'll look a hell of a lot better this weekend. We've got almost a week off, King potentially in the lineup, two strikers in incredible form, and playing in the North London derby AT THE LANE!

I see l'Arse having trouble with our attack. I do think we'll still be a little iffy at the back, but I see us coming out strong and putting some serious pressure on Arsenal. I'll say 3-2 to us, with the end of the second half being one that will only be bearable if I'm half in the bag at 9:00 in the morning!

When was the last time we beat Arseanl? 1999. :(
