I didn't see it as really rubbing our noses in it, more a post poking fun at Arsenal as well for (usually) being bad at set pieces.

But then again, perhaps Arsenal should look at their defending too. Lehmann loses the plot again, pushes a defender out of the way and Keane is left unmarked to head in. Then Jenas is allowed to get in a position where he can just shoot unchallenged. Lehmann is a liability, i would think Arsenal fans can see how his "I don't like to be touched!!!" attitude costs them, the Everton game for example.. same as the game yesterday, causes a fuss, corner, goal.

We have a lot of problems with him at the moment. He moans, and moans, and moans...he pushed Clichy off Keane for your first goal, then got his knickers in a twist on the second. His anger has made him lose concentration on so many occasions, it wouldn't surprise me if Wenger packed his bags for him at the end of the season.

We have a good back line generally, but without a keeper you can rely on behind them, confidence seeps out. And a backline without confidence is extremely vulnerable.

And yes, I was just picking up on the point that was made earlier that you let in two goals by set pieces. I can count on one hand the amount we have scored! But nonetheless it was a good game, as per usual. There hasn't really been a bad match between us for a while! It's better than the Merseyside derby, what with all their 0-0's...

I won't get involved in the politicking and base rivalry stuff, but I felt badly enough about Lehman's flying elbow that I was compelled to come over and say sorry. No place for that in football.

cheers. and i won't respond with the politicking and base rivalry stuff.

speaking most objectively, he's quite the ass - a veritable steaming turd of a footballer.

for a more colored and subjective perspective on the subject, see any other post concerning lehmann in the forum.

I can't believe this. Did you come over here or to other forums back then when Bergkamp made one of his justice-tackles again? You are acting as if he had slammed his elbow in his face full foce and broke his nose! Did you ever see anyone coming over to our forum and apologizing for hitting or ellbowing or injuring one of our players? It's almost funny how many people let themselves get influenced by the papers and the tv pundits. If another player had done that it would have been ignored just like Davies elbowing Lehmann in the face and then hitting him on the head had been collectively ignored.

Chill out. I give GriffinGunner credit coming over here to apologize for what was, in his opinion, a cheap shot. He's allowed to have an opinion without your consent, isn't he? And what makes you automatically think he was influenced by the papers?

It's one play that happened recently. Since no one apologized to you for your historied chain of events then no one should be allowed to apologize for something they saw as out of line currently?
