On a whim, I bought a John Denver CD a couple weeks ago, when I was a kid (before they had DVDs to entertain them) I loved to sing "Country Roads" with my family on car trips. We liked the song mostly because, we it is really catchy, and because the line about the Blue Ridge Mountains (my home).

I suggested to Brad that he play the song which was on his MP3 player Saturday for fun, I couldn't believe the reaction from the Riders left in the parking lot. Everyone stopped what they were doing and joined in for the chorus.

I know there were some photos taken...

I thought New Englanders looked down on rednecks the same way everyone looks down on Sunil Gulati.

When I was three, I thought John Denver was just another muppet. The only place I ever saw him was on The Muppet Show and Sesame Street.

The Germans sang it at just about every FanFest I went to...Czech supporters were singing it in Gelsenkirchen...

I think I have a video of it somewhere....

There's also a techno version that I heard quite a few times in Berlin...

So does our version at least substitute "Massachusettes" or "Foxboro" for "West Virginia"?.

I can dig the original from a parking lot drinkfest perspective, but it seems a little odd from a terrace song angle.
