I say defenitely, Yes!! I can't stand the standard 4-4-2 formation. I don't know about everyone else, but I tend to think this might be part of the problem as to why River isn't playing the way we know they can play. Belluschi isn't a #10 so he's not the answer. Why not put Augusto there and put Belluschi on the right side where he belongs.

I agreee!!!!!! Fernandez has been great and we need more contact from the middle with our forwards. If not Fernandez then Ortega or some other kid Bounnanote? should be given a chance as a 10.

Definitely need to go back to good old 4-3-1-2.

Well, the answer to this question was obvious: Yes. Every River fan wants a 4-3-1-2 formation, and we all know that. But the reason I am writing this is because it seems like Daniel Passarella wants to do so as well. For now, we will probably be seeing Sciorilli or Burzac get more minutes, or maybe Ariel Ortega returning to his playmaker position. As for the future, the club is interested in bringing players such as Recoba or Romagnoli, but they wouldn't be easy to get.

you talking about caslas romagnoli. dont even think about it, you're most probable option is recoba, isnt that kid ready yet. the one that needed to lift weights.

Yes, I am talking about the ex-San Lorenzo Romagnoli. Still, I said it was going to be complicated: his return to CASLA was hard, so I hiiighly doubt he'll join River.

As for the kid you are talking about, his name is Buonanotte. The problem is that he's still not ready physically and his level has dropped lately. That's why Sciorilli and Burzac have been given a chance over him, not only in Primera, but also in the reserves.

Che, metete en MSN, negro.. Cuantas veces te tengo que decir? :D

Loco, podes creerlo, Passarella admitio que planteo mal el equipo, se termina el mundo ************!!

:p

Seriously though, this is great news. The 4-4-2 wasn't working, but I really hope they bring up a player from the Reserves to play enganche rather than bring a player from Europe who'll want a big salary and expect to play every game. The most important thing that club youngsters bring is humility.

I also would like for River to play with an enganche. As for who? Time will tell but I hope we dont invest in some washed up player that is only interested getting a pay check. Rather have someone that has been through River and if has been brought up through the youth program even better. With a classic 10,I think Bellsuchi would become much better use then to give him all the responsibility in where he never was an enganche.Hopefully things will be better in the next semester.

Some names, such as Gracian, are being thrown around now.. Even Insua (ex-Independiente and Boca) was mentioned! I think Gracian is a great player: I've always liked him and was angry when he was linked to Boca. He has some nice possibilities of joining the team since he isn't in a great situation in Mexico at the moment. Plus, Monterrey, his club, are interested in Ernesto Farias. At the same time, I don't want him to join us since I would love to see more of Sciorilli and Burzac. On his debut vs. Belgrano, Sciorilli did great and even threw in a few "rabonas" and other tricks. If you think about it, if we would have brought in a playmaker from a different club in the past, players such as Pablo Aimar and Andres D'Alessandro might have not even debuted in River!

If it were up to me, the playmaker I would want is Daniel Montenegro. He is a great player and has proven it more than once with la banda on his chest. Other than that, I think I'd go with the youngsters.
