When I spent some time in Lyon in 2004, I'm 99% sure that I saw him on the subway. I saw a bald black player wearing Lyon training gear to where I'm pretty sure it was a Lyon player. Then after watching Lyon, I came to the assumption that I saw Cacapa.
Anyhow, he was a good and loyal player for us. I hope he gets to start in the final match at Stade Gerland.

I will miss him! He's such a gracious player and man. Cacapa, btw, also defended (http://www.football.fr/fr/cmc/scanner/football/200717/cacapa-baros-est-un-bon-gars_131996.html?popup) Baros.

According to Le Progres, Cacapa could make a surprise return to reinforce our back line. Apparently he's been struggling to find a new club and with Squillaci out injured, Lyon are seriously considering his return as an option.
I am all for this!

I'd love to re-sign him to a 1-year deal.

Having Caçapa off the bench is a luxury, as he would likely be a starter on almost any L1 team even now.

I want him back too - but for his sake, I hope he says no and keeps his pride - if he can find another club before then.

If he'd rather be a spot player for us, than start for a lesser mid-table team, then more power to him. As much as I like Juninho, Cacapa was always a true captain.

Yeah, but last season he played like six games. Out of 40+. That's less than spotty.

good afternoon
i am a panathinaikos fan and it is rumoured that
c.cacapa may be a target of my team.
could you please let me know why he has not
played many games the season that just ended
and if he has any particular injuries?
do you think he has still 2-3 years of high-level
football palying?
is he good enough when the ball is up?
thnx in advanve

He'd be a good fit with Pana. He's gotten a little slower over the years and OL has replaced him with a great CB in Squillaci.

I rather like Pana (among Greek teams). I hope he signs there, he would add a lot to their squad, I think.

i gather there is no alarming injury record of his
to worry about...welllll... he's missed a lot of matches over his whole career due to injuries, mostly knee or ankle. averages 1 good spell of rehab per season.
