View Full Version : Live free or Die Roten! Official Hannover 96 thread (part II) [R]
Rivaldo somehow reminds me of Xavier, which is a bad thing. Not much glamour to gain by this transfer, Bundesliga will look like MLS and the Ghanaian league as a place where old stars can kick the ball a bit before retireing.
So totally agree. But I just fear that this is exactly what Kind would do.
Right now I'm serioulsy pissed at the team about their comments about the fans after the game. Their comments and actions after the Schalke game were pretty ************ as well.
The only thing you always hear from them is that we are supposed to support them but when the fans need them they are not there.
This was the 2nd in a row that hardly anyone showed up at the end of the season party.
Even if they don't want they are payed millions and should come at least a few minutes.
Also, the fans talked with the team about the boykott before the Bayern game and still they acted like little babies afterwards and only thanked the west-stand even though the west-stand was as quiet as they usually are and despite the boykott the north was louder.
The only one who went to the fans in the north-stand was Cherundolo before he was called back. I guess he forgot that he was supposed to be pissed at us.
Bunch of spoiled babies they are. They shouldn't forget who makes them stars. If they want to get treated like gods no matter the score they should go to Mainz.

I so agree.
Also, I understand the whistles. Even though the season itself was ok and not worth any cheers. losing at home 3 to nill against a team whose season in the league is over and therefore not making it to Europe because of that certainly is. I'm not saying the team played back, but obviously didn't do enough. I understand the fans' anger, as well as the team's anger, but after an hour or two they should have the balls to go a celebration like that for a few minutes.
Well, I don't condone the whistles and boos and I agree with Enke that those that did were probably those who don't come to every game but then the reaction of the team doesn't make sense.
Why punish the loyal fans and kids for what a few hundred or maybe 1000 did?
Also, the fans actually WANTED to thank the team after the game at the party. They would have gotten their applause.
To me it seems like they were happy to not go to the season ending party.
I wonder which excuse they'll find next season.

Oh my days, the sheer ignorance and lack of respect towards the bloke who was arguably Brazil's best player in the 02 world cup is rather un-inspiring. (He also won world player of the year)
To say he's past his sell by date and is a risk signing due to injurys is well, alot of BS(He's not injured that frequently). Granted he is not as good as 02 WC. Buuuuuut he's still more then capable of hacking top level football as shown in the champions league.
Watch these then judge him as to whether he'd be good for Hannover:rolleyes:

Some of his best goals in Greece.

What was that i hear? Yeh, damn fooking right he's good enough for you.

By all means I could have scored some of those goals. We're talking about Bundesliga. Do you really think he would get this space in a Bundesliga game?
LOL Everybody knows the quality of the Greek league. Two top teams and the rest is not worth mentioning. If he's that good why are there no Premierleague clubs interested? 2002 is 5 years gone.
The CL goal is great, but it was scored against Rosenborg.:D

And thats why your sat here posting on the internet and not playing professional football:rolleyes:
I'm not saying he would have alot of space, but around 5 /6 of those goals are stunning free kicks. His set pieces and neat little touchs would be worth millions alone to a small club like Hannover.
Don't be pathetic, a former best player in the world would never decline to a degree where he couldn't play at a high level. (Unless he continues to play beyond 40).
There's plenty of clubs intrested, he just wants to make the right choice, not go to a club where he'll get alot of money but treated like scum....basically.
Jump off the bandwagon and admit those goals were stunning. Regardless of the league, the bundesliga is hardly brimming of world class players anyway...

Nope, I think it's good enough to play world class football, no need for world class players (that's why Stuttgart won the title, not Bremen, Schalke or Bayern).

HAHAHAHHAHA some of you guy's really don't know much about football if you think RIVALDO is passed it. My friend, you do need world class players, thats if you want to win trophies. And to have a name of a superstar and a legend linked to your extreamly tiny club should be a priveledge and you should be gulping down you beer in gallons with the prospect of seeing the almighty Rivaldo in your team colours.
When he joined olympiakos, their was the same negative thoughts coming from everywhere who called him a "has been". Well 3 very successfull seasons later, people were in awe of this incredible player who can still score and can still pass the ball.
Although i don't think Rivaldo is going to go to some ************ club in germany after experiencing 3 glorious years in beautiful Greece.
Well, good for him then. :)

Since Fräulein96 is too polite to say it, let me: stop trolling or go away. If you want to disagree, do it politely. There's no reason to come in here talking shit about our club.

I apologise if i caused offence to the hannover 96 fans, but i believe i had reason to air my opinion. I came across this thread to find out the reaction about the apparent interest of my idol Rivaldo amongst you guys only finding negative crap thrown at him!!
And this is what these forums are for, to air opinions even if it means you don't agree with them. Nothing like a good argument lee !!;)

If you want respect for Rivaldo from others, show respect to them.
To Rivaldo:
He was one of my favorite players at start of the century, a legend.
The freekicks are quite class, i agree, but i havn´t seen whole
matches of him, only highlights, since he joined Olypiakos.
So i can´t judge, if he would fit to 96.

You really want to say, that Stuttgart has no world-class players, don´t you?
What about Hildebrand, Meira, Gomez and some others?
Well, other topic:
96 signed Mike Hanke for 5 million € from VfL Wolfsburg.

He's a great player, no doubt about that and I meant no disrepesct to him but I don't think he would fit in with 96 and that has nothing to do with his class as a player.
Of course we need a quality midfielder but we already are a slow team because of Bruggink, we couldn't afford another slow player no matter how much class he has.[/quote]

Kicker say 4 million €, let's hope they are right because even that would be kinda outrageous.
Don't know what to think about it. I guess, he needs to score lots of goals to be worth that much money and I'm not sure he will but you never know with forwards.

I'd rather pay a 35 year old Rivaldo his 2 million a year than spend 4 million on Hanke. Jesus.

4 million is very high for Hanke!
He's certainly a respectable striker, but he's not worth that much! I'll be surprised if he lives up to that price in Hannover. He's better than Hashemian and Brdaric and so on, but he's not great. But who knows, maybe if he fits to Hannover's system, you could be looking at a 10-15 goal per season guy here.
